And here are some videos of my training partners. Here is Bentz hitting 505 lbs on the bench to 1 board prior to IPA nationals. He missed a 542.5 lb record attempt at the meet.

    Video

Bentz hitting a 725 lb squat prior to nationals. He did not squat at that meet.

    Video

Darren hitting over 600 lbs. It might even be 700 lbs prior to nationals. He also didn't squat at the meet.

    Video

Chad working the bench. He is 165 lbs and learning a bench shirt. Going to be strong if he keeps at it.

Coke, I feel with conventional I may be good for 600 lbs right now. We will give that a go in a few weeks after pulling off the box and some more band work.

It is really starting to feel comfortable Coke. For most reps I was in a good grove. I think 350 lbs before summer time is a realistic goal and maybe 400 lbs won't seem as insurmountable at that point.

    12/8

    Box Squats-pretty low box. 15" I think.

Started in the monolift, but moved to the rack, as the others were going heavier with suits and briefs on. Most of my sets were raw.

    Bar x 10
    145lbs x 8
    195 lbs x 6
    235 lbs x 2
    295 lbs x 2 x 4 sets
    335 lbs x 2 x 4 sets- belt added
    385 lbs x 1- belt
    425 lbs x 1- belt

    Assisted glute ham raises
    3 x 8

    Reverse Hypers
    Purple Band x 12
    Band + 90 lbs x 12 x 2 sets
    Band + 140 lbs x 12

    Decline Crunches
    2 x 20

One Leg Calf Raise with a purple band

    3 x 12

Hopefully I can get them strong one day. I am starting to embrace the sitting back throughout the movement.

    12/9

    Barbell Bench with chains

    Bar x 10
    + 40 lbs of chains x 5
    +80 lbs chains x 5

    85 lbs weight + 80 lbs chain x 3 x 4 sets
    115 lbs weight + 80 lbs chain x 3 x 5 sets
    145 lbs + chain weight x 1 paused rep
    165 lbs + chain weight x 1 paused rep x 2 sets

    Incline DB Bench
    70 lb db's x 15, 13, 12

Tricep Pushdown with fat bar handle
    +25 lbs x 15
    +60 lbs x 15 x 3 sets

1800 lb or so total I believe. 735 lb squat, 465 lb bench, and over 600 lbs on the deadlift. I am not sure what his future training plans are. I saw him Friday before the meet and I am sure he is taking some time off because he hasn't been in this week at all. Whatever he does, I am sure bigger numbers are in his future.
