    Changing up a routine...

    Can you just do the same machines/ free weight things, but just in a diff order? Thats what I did today and I added some new excersises in the free weight room. Just figure I would ask .

    Well, I don't see how it would do much for fat loss-- but if you've stagnated in some lifts, it certainly won't hurt.

    What's your routine, and what are you looking to change?

    I did 10 min elip warm up.
    ball crunches- 3 sets of 20
    weight asisted chin up 170 pds 3 sets of 10
    row 50lbs 3 sets of 10
    chest 30 lbs 3 sets of 10
    vertical chest press 70pds 3 sets of 10
    lateral raise 25pds 3 sets of 10
    arm curl 35pds 3 sets of 10
    shoulder press 30pds 2 sets of 10
    front push 30pds 3 sets of 10
    pull down 40pds 3 sets of 10
    seated pec 30pds 3 sets of 10
    seated rear delt- 30 pds 3 sets of 10
    vertical row 40pds 2 sets of 10
    tricep press 70pds 3 sets of 10



    Basicaly I wanted to learn some new things, maybe more in the free weights. I was thinking bout asking one of the trainers I know to take me machine to machine to tell me allllll about EVERYONE so I am educated and also to the free weight room to start showing me some things back there. DOes that sound dumb or ace? LOL

    So you do the full-body thing.

    Ok, well, it wouldn't hurt a bit to change things up with that being the case. I'd say learn all you can about it. It certainly won't hurt any to incorporate some free weights.

    Are you trying to add muscle tissue or lose fat at this point? The two work somewhat concurrently, but there are ways of switching it up some to enhance the fat-burning effects of weight training.

    Well basically, find a weight that you could get for 10, and do it for as many sets of 5-6 as you can with a 45-60 second rest interval.
