    Children?

    Do any of the older guys on these boards have kids who they are or will get into weight lifting?

    I started when I was 14 and I was wondering what age you would let your kids start at?

    I started working out when I was about 13-14 years old, my kids are 3 and 2 so they have awhile. I would probably wait till they were at least 13 or so. I say that now, but things might be different 10 years from now.

    I don't have any kids, but I started in 9th grade, so I'd say that would be a good starting age. If I had kids, i'd encourage them to take weights in highschool/junior high

    If you wanted your kids to become football players what age would you get them to start? I want to live my dreams through my kids (I started too late to make it as a footballer) I was thinking 13/14.

    I have 3 boys. My two oldest boys have 2 PL meets each under their belts.
    They are 14 and 17.
    They both have decent numbers for thier age weight.

    I started weightlifting when i was 13 but not seriously till about when i turned 15. I also started playing football at 13 and my little bro started when he was 9 or 10.

    Wow you guys started early! I started when I was 18. If I had kids if would get them to start training at around 14-15. Really it depends if they have matured. If I can see they are late bloomers I would prefer to wait a little personally.

    In terms of guitar... before they can walk.
    Brad08 has some insight for people who don't understand... anything.
    This is so ****ing ******ed it's almost beyond belief. So, if you eat 3k, you will automatically gain 3k worth of fat or muscle? Incredible. And here I am eating all this food, yet maintaining my weight. Fascinating.

    You're one of those pussies that counts his almonds I bet.
