The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Training Chest & Triceps on the same day.

I really don't like it. This is the first program I'm on where they have them both on the same day. By the time I'm done with flat and incline bench my tricep movements are so weak.

I'm going to switch the biceps and triceps day. So instead of Chest and tri's and Shoulders & bis it will be chest and bis shoulders and tris.

What is everyone else feelings on Chest & tris on the same day?

you will be hitting tri's 2 times in the week which probaly should be OK if you rest enough, having said that.. if your triceps are getting fried from doing bench shouldn't that be enough for them?

Na, my triceps respond better with additional work other then just benching.

Yup and I did gain a lot better on my tris with them on a separate day. My chest also seems to like being lightly worked out as well which is what happens when I do my tricep work.

I never do triceps one chest I usually do them opposing with back and do biceps with chest and i've had good results with it. It's impossible to bench heavy then go for a set of heavy close grip benching and skull crushers

I know I've done it before too but if I can switch triceps to later in the week and press more weight from not already going through two pressing movements then why not do that...besides the best routine ever BGB is set up this way so it must be right

I just did 5x5 on my bench (235) and then 2x10 of skullcrushers. Been doing this for quite a while and not even close to burnt out.
