The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Bench Lockouts / partial press tech surprise lol

    Hey all,

Not really a question more of a impressed by how a tech changed something, I wanted to show a friend benching in the racks for lockouts, and how much weight you can move with a shorter range of motion

well we worked up to 170kgs, i set up for like my normal bench and just pushed no chance in hell of moving it, i then waited about 5 secs, then pinched my blades together very hard and moved the 170kgs like a piece of piss

I'm just so surprised that it changed how light it im just so stunned lol

well that was easy so we put it to 200kgs and he got it...just, the bitch and i just missed it lol mind you i had already done 3 sets of heavy full bench presses that's my poor excuse lol, it was just cool to see it move

I just didn't know pinching helped that much, i might have to transfer this tech to normal benching and bolster my numbers

I find the same thing happens with deadlifts. There's times when I can't break the bar off the floor. I just have to step back, refocus, and make sure my setup is good.
