    B, I'm looking to go Titan Boss suit, Boss Briefs, Overkill Bench Shirt, and for now I'm sticking with my Inzer single ply Hardcore for the pull.

    I should add that I'm really unhappy with this. Since pulling 770 I let my raw pull go to hell. I stopped 531 which was one of the reasons my deadlift got to were it was. A few months ago I did 530x10. This was a a big let down. I'll be working hard to get this back to where it needs to be.

    I actually breeze through these journals out of habit, but I read swiftly and can skim over any material like no other...saved a lot of money just looking through magazines and books over the years, lol.

    No doubt you will be raising back up with your deads again.

    Thanks Flynn. It's feeling a little better as the day goes. I'm hoping it's loosening up and I just need to ice and rest it awhile. Weeks of low end benching and going heavy seemed to have tweaked it out. As long as I can move it to get under the squat bar on Saturday I'll be ok.

    Tone, I take it that 5/3/1 has worked really well for your deadlift. I'm going to start doing it after my meet this weekend to help build my deadlift up. Since you pull sumo in a meet do you perform the 5/3/1 sumo or conventional? I pull conventional in a meet and wasn't sure if I should train sumo or conventional. I usually mixed it up in the past, but I don't think it really worked good for me since my deadlift hasn't made any gains. I might of answered my own question..haha!!!

    Bri, like you I always switched it up. Last cycle, I pulled Sumo in my geared days (Saturday) and did the 531 raw and conventional on Wednesdays. This time I'm trying the 531 raw with Sumo style. So far, the only thing I've found is I'm MUCH stronger conventional raw.

    I think I'm going to start the program pulling conventional since that's how I compete. But maybe on my speed days do sumo or even do a wide stance stiff legged sumo pull for an accessory. Either way, I need to do something to help out my deadlift.

    I can't get anywhere in this shirt and I'm so frustrated. I need a new shirt and I need to get it quick. Meet is 9 weeks out.

    Also, I started something new today. Routine called 100 Pushups. You can find it here: http://www.hundredpushups.com/ The goal is to do 100 pushups in a row. I'm just using it as an accessory to hopefully help my shoulders and wrists. I did the following tonight sets: 10 12 7 7 9+ (I got 20)

    And finally, I'll be adding some Tabatas at the end of my workouts to help me burn some unnecessary fat.

    Thanks for the kind words Tone, the intensity has really ramped up since the meet, just much more focused and interested in what im doing as opposed to just being a gym guy.

    i should be able to be there on time next wed to watch you pull at least for your unlimited. Remind me to give you chalk monday night just in case.

    Based on your final set weight it looks like you have 600 as your base max. and you went 30 over that so id count it as a big win.

    490 for unlimited next week, i think you have 12 in there.

    3.4.10 Accessory Day
    Didn't really need to be in the gym today but went in to spot Tim on his squats. He squatted tonight since he'll be missing Saturday. I decided to give Tabata's a try. Holy. Sh1t.

    Tabatas
    Hanging Clean & Press
    95lbs
    Got through 2, started the 3rd set and died.

    Bench Jumps
    Got through another 2 and just had nothing left for the 3rd.

    200 Situps Routine
    15 9 6 6 8+(Got 12)
    Rethinking this one. I can do an easy 25 on the decline in Maryland. Doing situps from the floor killed me. I couldn't breathe. Gotta figure out if I keep with the lower intensity one and build up, or if I just hold off on this till I can get Tabatas done and get in better shape. My weight today was at 390. Heaviest I've been in a LONG time. Stronger than ever, fatter than ever. I need to take a page from Vinnie's book and get my weight under control. This sh1t sucks.
