    HJP, I've always pulled Sumo in gear and Conventional raw. So, for now, I'm pulling Conventional. But it's more of a "frog" style. I little wider than normal conventional but not wide enough to be Sumo.

    Thanks all. It's just an overuse injury. Just gotta push through it and wait till it decides to go away. In the meantime I just keep it iced and slathered in blue heat. Also have something special I'm gonna give a try and see how that fixes it.

    On a side note I found a really good article on Prilepin yesterday. I've read it 5 times since. Explains all the intricacies of the rep and percentage scheme including how to calculate for gear. Great read and a treasured article for me, who uses Prilepin for just about everything.

    I don't plan on adding much to my bench work. My bench is quite fast and I feel good about it. I have noticed that my squat is very slow, so adding bands/chains there may be something I need to look into in the future. My deadlift could go either way. I feel pretty good about my speed there and don't like pulling against bands too often because it really frys me bad.

    To be honest with you, I really haven't noticed much of a carryover with speed benches. I'm thinking these close grips are working better for me. So after this meet I'll probably just stick with those. But I might start doing them off a 2-3brd. As far as my squat goes, I don't feel very fast out of the hole, so I'll probably work on more paused speed squats then I would box. Ive noticed my speed off the floor isn't as fast and my lockout isn't really as strong and that's because I stopped doing speed pulls. I love doing speed work for both especially against bands.

    Hey Tone, wanted to let you know I have just finished my second 20 minute session today of ice packs with compression on my pecs/shoulders. Gotta get ready for tomorrow's second bench day this week. The challenge is a pr at 275. I got tunnel vision buddy. Do the little things big man.
