so hospitalized for 3 days and you come back and hit 2 PRs. I never thought of that training method. let me know how the anal hemorrhaging helps - i can sense that and a subsequent PR are looming haha get healed up man!

Still waiting for the rib to heal so I'm skipping deadlift days. Probably one or two more weeks before I'll be confident enough to test it. Not sure if I can squat yet. I'll find out Saturday.

    1.17.13 (Week 3 Day 3 Accessory Day)
    Shoulder Warmup
    Standing OHP
    Barx10
    95x10
    135x10
195/3x10 (Wide/Med/Close) Wide grip KILLS me on these. Medium grip was much easier and I crushed the close grip.

    Calf Raises
    225/4x15

    Skipped Abs (Rib)

    Hammer Curls
    65/3x10

    Adductors
This has really become an issue. My left leg is strong. No problems. My right leg (the one I tore about a year ago) still has issues with cramping. As SOON as I started (I got to my 2nd rep with 20lbs) it cramped up. I let it rest, dropped the weight to 15lbs and tried again. Same result. I need to figure out what I can do with this. I'm guessing it's scar tissue that's developed and making me cramp and the right leg to be so weak.

    Green Band Rows
    3x12

    Face Pulls
    95/3x12

I feel so strong right now. Despite not being able to pull, I feel solid and powerful. Really enjoying training. I'm hoping the rib doesn't hold me back from squatting on Saturday. Depending on how it feels will determine if I try to pull next week or give it another rest to try and heal fully.

    1.19.13 (Week 3 Day 4 Accessory Day)
    Squat (75% 5x3)
    Warmup Stretching.
    Barx10
    145x5
    235x5
    325x3
    Briefs On
    415x3
    505x3
    615/3x3
    645x5

    SSB Sumo Stance GM's
    215/3x8

Lunges x 15 (Was supposed to do 3x15 but my hams weren't going for it. I've done 3x8 before but apparently my legs aren't taking the 15 well. Hamstrings starts crazy cramping and my adductors acted up AGAIN.) Frustrating. Need to get the adductors fixed and on track.

Was also supposed to do 135 for 50 reps without racking. Call that off as well and did a bunch of stretching. Home now the hams are ok but the adductors are still cramping up. Overall a great day though.

All about the continuing little niggles, isn't it? Hope they clear up for you, bud.

    Edit: Though saying that, 645x5??

Didn't get Abs or Shrugs in tonight. Tim was my ride and had to be back in work later for snow duty. We tried to take a detour on the way home since there was an accident on the bridge making a HUGE backup. 20 minutes later we called Brian C for directions which Tim later deviated from. Anyway, we had a blast even though it was frustrating. DMS80 was in the backseat laughing like a schoolgirl.

Hey Tone, are the legs on the adductor machine independent or do they both move at once? If they both move in synch, you could maybe try sticking really light, and just doing the negative with the right leg? I know we do that for stuff like hamstrings with people with certain issues and it works well
I'm weak now, but not for long

Keenan, I will definitely try that! I've been doing adductors by attaching Spud Strap to the bottom cable but I could go back to using the machine and do it this way. I'll let you know how it works out!

Thanks Brian! Things are going great with this cycle. The weight felt heavy but moved FAST. Looking forward to where it takes me.

Not sure what you're looking for BB? He put out a book. You can Google it and should pull it up. Otherwise, if you're trying to figure it out on your own, there are a ton of different sites (including Brandon Lily's log) that should help you.

After talking to the Dr. it seems that when I tore the adductor last year I let it heal on it's own with no rehab. That allowed scar tissue to heal over the muscle. This inhibits blood flow. That explains why I keep getting twitching and cramping in that muscle. I can continue to work it and try to create new pathways for blood to go around the scar tissue and push more blood but it's going to be a long process. Just need to keep at it.

Kick ass day. I am weighing about 400lbs on the nose fully clothed and feel better than ever. I've put on a TON of good muscle weight while cutting down the belly. I feel phenomenal and when I'm walking I feel like a goddamn truck. Between training on the Cube and the supplement rotation Chris has me on it's been incredible. I'm doing 2 Optimum Protein shakes a day, BCAA pre-training, Results post-training, along with Fish Oil and ETS for joints. I'm fucking 40 years old and training like I'm 23.

Walking round feeling like a truck sounds awesome! Sounds like the cube is really working for you man. Good to see you going on strong through all the adversities of late. You're a warrior bro and a lot of us on here aspire to get near the numbers you use as warmups. Awesome stuff Tone! Keep doing what you do best mate

Thanks HJP. Whatever numbers you hit you're never satisfied. I never feel like i'm good enough but apparently, it comes along with the sport. I'm happy with a PR for about 2 hours then start thinking about the next one. It's gonna be a great year. Our team has really come together and we've begun to feed off one another this year. Everyone is pushing each other and there's no day off. From the top to the bottom everyone has someone looking at them and pushing them. Greatest team I've ever had the pleasure to be a part of.

2013 has SUCKED so far. Car problems, money is tight, hospitalized, and now a toothache that made me want to put my head through a wall. Hopefully I'm getting all my shit out early in the year and the rest is awesome. Fuck this tooth, trained anyway today.

You all know I'm sponsored, but you never see me hawking AtLarge Products like a whore. Finally, I feel like I've done enough to tell you about them. Chris has sponsored me for the past 3 months. When I started I asked him to put me on a regimen that he'd recommend. He suggested Opticen/Results/BCAA/Fish Oil/ETS. I started out at 390lbs. Today, when I weighed myself, I'm 402lbs and I've been noticeably leaner. My training partners have all notice and more surprisingly my kids noticed. That's impressive since they see me every day. I'm leaned out and strong as hell right now. I can't thank Chris enough for his belief and trust in me. If you're on this board and not using these products you're missing out.
