Looks like 2013 is off to a rough start, but look on the bright side...your getting stronger!!!

I agree 100% with you on Chris and ALN. I've been using his products for a long time and I love them. Right now I'm taking Axcel, ETS, BCAA+, Results, Multi vitamin, Fish Oils, Nitrean+ and Opticen+, all great stuff.

As bad as 2013 has started, it's been phenomenal as far as training. Today was probably one of the best squat workouts I've ever had as far as my mental state. Finally, I'm not flinching.

    2.2.13 (Week 5 Day 4 Squat Day - MAX)
    Barx10
    145x5
    235x5
    325x3
    415x2
    505x1
    545x1
    Briefs On
    635x1
    755x1
    Suit On
    840x1
    Reverse Blue Band
    905x1

Dropset 50% Raw (Was supposed to be 3x12 but I wanted to push hard on the first set)
    325x24
    325x12

Didn't get to finish the work. Tim got called in for a snow shift and we had to jet early. Extremely happy with how the day went. Everyone did great work. Cube is really bringing us some huge PR's in the group.

It's really not that great at all. See Brian C's 865 at 180lbs less bodyweight than me. I was more proud of the 325x24.

As you said the start of the year has been rough but you really are smoking it in training Tone! Really awesome work going on in here, lots of PR's and a lot of good quality solid volume. Keep on smashing it as you have been, it is paying dividends

Thanks everyone. It's the one place where everything else fades to grey and I can focus on my training only.

Justin, I'll try that cushion. I think the planks will work fine to begin with because as bad as I am with them I'll need to get better before I start Up/Downs.

HJP, the volume is built into The Cube. That's where the gains come from. Not insulting Brandon AT ALL, but I don't see much NEW in The Cube. It's a lot of Westside, a lot of Bodybuilding, and some Phrilephin all thrown together and put in an awesome rotation.

Finally, like I said before, I'm 40 years-old and the AtLarge supps have kept me feeling incredible, recovered, and in shape. ETS is a dream supp.

Bri, I'll be on it awhile. I don't see a need to change. If I see progress stop, I'll think about it, but right now I'm pretty much committed for the long term.

I also wanted to clarify my statement: "Not insulting Brandon AT ALL, but I don't see much NEW in The Cube. It's a lot of Westside, a lot of Bodybuilding, and some Phrilephin all thrown together and put in an awesome rotation."

What I want to get across is the basic tenents of The Cube have been there. They're solid and people have been using them forever. What The Cube does different is takes the best of each type of training and joins it together effectively. Didn't mean to sound like I was putting down the program. I'm not. I'm impressed with it obviously. Take things that work and make them work even better.

Well it was going well but at some point I guess I should've expected a down day. Had nothing left today and it seemed I wasn't alone. Most of the crew felt beat up, tired, and there was very little energy today even when we tried to get some going. I can't complain, I hit a weeks worth of PR's on every lift last week. Yesterday I felt really beat up. I felt like I couldn't even get warmed up. Joints felt terrible, everything hurt, and I couldn't get loose. I broke a sweat warming up and still felt stiff. Still, I didn't want to puss out so I tried pushing through but realized on the second big set that I needed to pull back. For once I finally feel confident in my decision and am happy about it the day after.

    2.9.13 (Week 6 Day 4 - Squat - 80%@6x2)
    Shoulder Warmup
    Barx10
    145x5
    235x5
    325x3
    415x2
    475x1
    Briefs On
    505x1
    595x1
    705/2x1

That was it. Technique struggled on the 705 so I knew it was time to shut it down. I was super happy with my performance last week so there's not question I earned this. This was my 10th week of Cube work (I restarted when the rest of the crew started so we'd all be on the same page) and my 6th of this cycle. 10 weeks with no "deload". At 40 years-old. Give me that check and I'll cash it every time. Hoping to get some lower body stretching in today and possible some very light work to get some blood flowing and try to rehab a little. I'm 4 weeks out from my Bench Only meet and I'm supposed to take all 3 attempts to a 3-Board tomorrow.
