    Awesome deadlift meet. That 800 was so damn close, and you smoked the 770! I notice a lot of people pull sumo. Can you typically pull more weight sumo then conventional?

    Some can, some can't. Strangely enough though, one seems to help the other. I pulled most of my training conventional. I did my speed training with bands sumo but almost all my other pulling was done conventional. It just feels better for me and my hips are pretty strong.

    I'm probably trying to get back on the horse too early in terms of deadlifting. I wanted to just start training again this week so I pulled. I've gotten 530x10 before and tonight the 520x5 felt like death. Even the 400x5 hurt my hands. Decided to just back off on accessories and save it for squat day on Saturday. I've got what I think could be a very interesting training cycle planned out so we'll see how it goes. I'm sure there will be changes and adjustments, but I'm looking forward to trying to plow though this for a meet in February.

    The reps on the one arms at the end killed me. I've never felt my lats like that and it was only 50lbs. I'd like to keep doing those for awhile and see what effect it has. Really happy with my performance tonight. Can't wait till squat day Saturday.

Hoping I feel better by Saturday to squat otherwise, I'm not going near any of my training partners. They've got a meet next weekend and I don't want to **** them up.

    Damn big guy, sorry to hear that. You taking anything to help?? I think a few days off from the weights, with some quality sleep should do the trick. Unless it's past those stages already

    Thanks Risk. I was really happy with that. Especially after being sick all week. The briefs are basically UnderArmour. I can literally get in a catchers stance with them. They give no support at all. So for all intents and purposes I'd say it's raw. But still, they are "briefs" so I can't.
