Any of you guys regularly eat Quinoa? I've eaten it for years and find it a really helathy protein/carb source with a very good amino profile. Yet I never hear about any BB eating it!
Its in my lunchbox waiting for me to eat it infact...lol I eat it every week, great replacement for rice or other carbs. Contains all 9 essential amino acids, and its veratile, its really good cold with berries in it too.
I have read about it on another site. Been looking to see where to find it local.
Its pretty good stuff. How do you guys prepare it?
I've had it before, but I prefer lentils.
I usually work in two servings per day.
I make a week's worth of turkey/quinoa chili; and typically have some sort of chicken breast + quinoa; salmon + quinoa, or turkey//quinoa meatloaf.
I love it. I use it instead of rice for many things. Since its preparation is identical to white rice, it's a natural replacement for a lot of things Stuffed peppers, risotto, quinoa (rice) pudding. As was mentioned above, it's awesome cold with some fruit and honey too. Very versatile and nutritionally excellent.
