Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    equipment reccomendation

not sure where to post this but im in the market for a elliptical trainer and pullup/dip tower..anyone have recommend good brands and models..I was looking at the gold's gym elliptical 510 and the Schwinn 420 since they are sold at local stores and look alright...for the dip/pull up machine there are so many on ebay but not sure which ones are actually nice and sturdy and not break down.

Yes, the best elliptical trainer is none.

Honestly save your money, get the pullup/dip tower, and use that money wasted on the elliptical and buy urself a Olympic barbell, and about 300 pounds of weight, or 400 if your strong enough. You will have a lot more money in your pocket and a better physique in the long run

hmmm, well in that case im no expert on the prices of cardio machines, but im still in favor of getting her a dumbbell set and you take some time and show her some exercises that will help her tremendously. You can get a good set of these things called "Power Block" they are adjustable dumbbells and the fit in a nicer confined space and easy to set up and use. Look for the on amazon, its still more effective than an elliptical and a lot cheaper. But if you must have to have an elliptical, im sure you can price shop on amazon as well. The gym i used to work at use cybex and lifestyles and life fitness brands on cardio equipment

Don't skimp too much on the eliptical machine. I bought a cheap one and it sux. It actually hurts my knees because it forces me into an un-natural stance.

I have the Golds Gym chin/dip tower. I've used the heck out of it and it's holding up very well. I've had my weight (235 lbs) plus an added 100 lbs on the dip bars and it didn't break.

Try to get something that has good resale value. Or better yet buy used. Once the machine turns into a clothing rack you may be able to get what you paid for it )
