The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Need bar with 48" between collars

I finally bought an Olympic size bench for my house, but I'm cramped for room and can't fit a full size bar. I was hoping to find a good 5' bar, but all I've seen so far only have about 36" between the collars, putting the weights on the inside of the bar rack. My bench would require a bar to have 48" between the collars. I doubt any 5' bar could do that, b/c that would only leave 6" on each side for weights, but if you know of one that would be ideal.

But, more than likely, I'll have to go with a bigger bar. I can squeeze in a 6 footer, but definitely can't go up to 7. All of the 6' bars I've looked at so far only have 42"-46" between the collars. I know there's got to be a 6' bar out there with 48"+ between the collars. I'm looking for a straight bar, non-threaded, standard (1") or Olympic (2") is fine. Don't care to spend too much on it, but I'll do what I have to. Thanks.
