    New 3 day routine...thoughts?

    I'm thinking of switching from a 4 day routine to a 3 day routine...since most of the time I can only make it to the gym 3 days a week anyway.

    Here's what I came up with on the top of my head...any comments would be appreciated...

    DAY 1 - SHOULDERS/LEGS/ABS
    military press
    dumbbell shoulder press
    shrugs
    squats
    lunges
    2 ab exercises
    side bends

    DAY 2 - BACK/BICEPS/LEGS

    pull ups
    high hammer rows
    T-Bar row
    Rear delt exercise
    2 bicep exercises
    Romanian dead lifts
    good mornings
    leg curls

    DAY 3 - CHEST/TRICEPS/CALVES
    barbell bench
    incline dumbbell press
    dips
    close-grip bench press
    tricep pull-downs
    2 calf exercises
    5'6", 145 lbs.

    Why split your legs front/back? You have back exercises on shoulder day and delt exercises on back day. You are also hammering your low back in two different workouts, which is fine for the most part but kind of defeats the purpose of a split doesn't it?

    Have you looked at the WannaBeBig routines?

    Thanks for the feedback. I consider shrugs a shoulder exercise, and real delts as part of the back...but I guess they can go either way. Also, I'm only seeing my lower back being hammered on one day...unless you're referring to the squats.

    I'll check out the WBB routines also. I'm currently doing the BGB, but it does look like there are some 3 day splits with the other routines.
    5'6", 145 lbs.

    I don't like it. Check out wannabebig routine #1 great 3 day routine. I made great gains on it.
