    wrist strength with heavy weight

So now that I am working with weights around 600 lbs on my bench press I am getting some discomfort in my wrists during and after my sets with weight above 550 or so. I am using Inzer wrist straps. Is this something I will eventually get use to? What exercises can I do to strengthen my wrists so that I do not have these pains when benching.

forearms, forearms and more forearms. Wrist rope, wrists curls (palm up+down) etc. I have one day a week that I work my forearms. I'm handling over 600 pounds on bench with no pain.

Get 36" convict wraps. I started using a wrist rope. I could barely do 10 lbs when I started. Now 25 lbs isn't too bad. It's helped a lot.

APT wraps and hammer curls/ grip/ forearm work... I use a ivanko gripper. Best adjustable gripper I've seen.

Check out a thing called a gripstick. Also, like others said, direct forearm work, ice, and stiffer wraps.
