Like usual, I get so caught up in the number, instead of how I feel and the progress I've been making.

Thanks Coke! I do have to take a step back and remember that I'm attempting to kill two birds with one stone, at least for as long as my body will let me that is.

Yeah, it's tough man, you know it better than anybody. But, progress is progress, either in the garage or in my composition/how I feel. I'm gonna start trying to not put so much stress in the number on the scale, and just take that for what it's worth. My diet is in check, my workouts are in check, I've gotta be making progress, even if that damn scale doesn't say so.

Got about 7-8 hours of sleep last night, woke up feeling pretty good. AM Weight was 354.6, made me feel good. Would like to see 349.8 by Wednesday morning, but if not, I'll refeed and get back at it.

As long as you are consistent you are going to get good results. Progress isn't always linear. Good work bud!

Yes sir, I do enjoy the pain and suffering we put ourselves through. I know in a years time, staying consistent, I'm gonna be a totally different looking person, lifting some heavy ass weights.

That's my down fall, it hasn't bee thus far, but I just gotta stay as consistent as you guys and I'll be good to go. Consistency is key, and I'm damn determined to not let myself fall this time. It's been far too long, too many reboots and restarts. The time is now, it's as good as time as any.

Bench workout tonight. Storms moving through, wife did cardio on her lunch break so decided to get in my pressing there, plus I have access to the cable pulleys for some accessory work.

    Close Grip BP
190 x 5 x 5 I think I forgot what set I was on, and did 6 sets, but idk, was busy watching my wifes butt on the elliptical.

    Seated OHP
    105 x 3
    115 x 3
    95 x 4 x 8 sets
I do really like doing these sitting down instead of standing up. I get more work in the upper body for obvious reasons, no chance to push presses.

    I's, Y's, T's
    20lbers x 8 x 3 These with 20lb dumbbells sucks, I tell ya. I thought 15's sucked...nope...20's...a whole nother animal.

    EZ Bar curls
60 x 6 x 10 sets Suck, my form on these falls apart half way through the last few sets.

    Dicks Press
115 x 8 x 5 sets Really focused on the bottom part of the lift, slow, smooth, nice.

    Cable Row Shrugs
    90lbs x 24 x 3 sets

Geez the thunder outside is deafening. Whew. Glad I'm inside and not at work, ha, suckers.

    V Bar Pull Downs
    82lbs x 30 x 2 sets
    94lbs x 15
100lbs x 15 really really focused on the eccentric movement here, held at the chest each rep, slowly released it.
115lbs x 8 same thing here, eccentric movement being the focus, my God I was burning here
120lbs x 4 eccentric....I was done with eccentric crap at this point. Even my sides where cramping, ha.
    100lbs x 8
    92lbs x 8
    76lbs x 15
    44lbs x 20, drop set 38lbs x 20, drop set 30lbs x 20, drop set 22lbs x 30

    Overhead Cable Pulls
    70lbs x 10 x 3 sets

    Cable Crunches
    68lbs x 25 x 2 sets

I was done at this point. Arms felt good, like jello. Chest felt good, back felt good, came home feeling mighty fine, now just gotta wait for the wife to get home.

Yeah, I never quite hit that holy crap I can't lift anything feeling, but was gettin close. Feels good being able to work hard upper body and just focus on it an entire session. That's new to me really. I like the way my arms are filling out, actually taking shape instead of just fat, lol. My backs getting some bulges too, wifes liking that. Like I said, in 6 months time I'll have made some good progress, in a years time, I'll be doing mighty fine. Really lookin forward to all things to come. Everything looks great right now, ready for Wednesday and Thursdays refeed, not gonna go crazy, but gonna enjoy some good ol carbs.

Thanks man, and the entertainment was an added bonus.

Slept alright last night, did NOT want to wake up today, got about 7 hours of sleep or so. I'd like to go on record and just say that Wyatt Earp is a badass. "You tell 'em I'm coming, and hells coming with me!" Good stuff. That little part next to the train, if I could watch that EVERY day before I go workout, I'd probably hit a PR every day.

353.8 today, .2lbs from a weight PR this round.

I really appreciate it man. Coming from just a short time ago, I wasn't able to press 190 x 1, made some good progress on the bench so far, looking to continue it up in to the 300's for 1RM at least.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too, weight is back down, so it's all good.

Deadlifts when I get off work at 0200, not feeling it, but I think I'll be better once I get in there and start pulling.

ONE HELL OF A DEAD LIFT SESSION TONIGHT!!! WHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

So originally, I felt like crap, didn't really wanna get in there and pull but after I got home, started feeling it big time. Felt good, felt something good coming and boy, I was right.

    Warm Ups
    135 x 5
    225 x 5
    315 x 3

    Work Sets
    375 x 3
    420 x 3
    465 x 2
495 x 1 This felt damn good, actually felt pretty damn light...was excited.
510 x 1 This even felt light. Pull was quick and smooth. Felt really really good. I think I could have pulled 520, but we'll save that for another day. Vid later.
365 x 4 x 8 sets with 1 minute rest in between sets. Last week these about killed me, this week, holy crap. I did 6 sets with 1 minute rest, last 2 was more like a minute and a half rest, ha.

    Barbell Shrugs
    195 x 20 x 5

    Bent Over Rows
    205 x 5 x 5

I got my bands in from Elite FTS, I gotta find a way to attach them to something and use them with some deadlifts. That'll be trial and error I'm sure. Gonna try some C-clamps on the bottom of the squat rack and see how that works for me. I'm exhausted.

Huge session, for the bands step on them to anchor it to the ground. That's a pretty vague description but you probably get the idea.

I saw some vids of this, looks like I'll be giving that a shot. I'm gonna get some plywood and another rubber mat and just construct a deadlift platform, have some latches or something that fold down when not in use, so I can slide the bands through the hole when needed. Thanks for the help!

Did a little work in the garage today with the wife. She was playing with deadlifts, I flipped a tire. Was fun.

    Wife-Sumo Deadlift
    135 x 1
    145 x 1 +10lb PR
    155 x 1 +20lb PR
175 x 1 +40lb PR Could have done more, but she didn't wanna push it. I'm very proud of her for getting down and dirty and doing some pulls.

    Deficit Deads
    115 x 5 x 2 sets

    Sledgehammer work
    8 times each side.

-My work, was light, just screwing around mostly.
    600lb tire flips
    6 x 3 sets

    Sledgehammer pounding on tire
    8 right side
    8 middle
    8 left side

115lb Clean and Press-Just screwing around
    3 reps...that was all.

I'm still pretty exhausted from yesterdays session so took it real easy and light tonight.

    Dam fine pulling bro!!

You will love the bands and your platform sounds like the best idea.......if the hooks or whatever are super strong you will be able to do crazy shit like doubled greens (200lb) for speed or max effort to nail the lock-out and teach you to be fast, very fun.

Wish I had a platform he he.
