Doing alright, was just funny sitting here on the couch doing tate presses, it was like the overall laziest thing I've ever done. I wanted to video it, but would have laughed too much to get any decent work in, plus, I'm sick and look like shit anyway.

AM Weight is 340.6, still up but considering everything the past 2 weeks, I'm ok with it. Should see daylight in the 330's within the next day or so, that'll be good to be there again. I've definitely got to start being more strict diet wise again instead of just lounging about here and there.

I basically said screw it on the training for this weekend, I haven't been able to do much without feeling miserably itchy with this damn poison ivy. It's gone, but the rash remains and where I've scratched it open burns like a mother fucker when I sweat. Tomorrow we leave for Dino Valley State Park, the wife and I. We'll be hiking all day, pitching a tent and sleeping, then hiking all day back with some swimming mixed in. Should be a good time. Will get some good cardio related work in for sure. All is well, after Thursday diet gets locked down again for a week, but right now I'm just glad that the weight is holding steady where it's at, 342-344. I still feel bloated and like I'm carrying water like crazy with this poison ivy, plus the prednisone I always bloat and get gassy with it, sucks, yeah I know. So, after this, it's balls to the wall again setting up for August baby.

So dino valley state park was awesome. THe water levels were really low except for the blue hole swimming area, which was nice because we could see all the dino tracks, which kind of gave you this weird feeling, looking at tracks made by a freakin dinosaur, and some where HUGE, crazy huge. The woods are really nice there too, I only saw one small poison ivy plant, most of the area is covered in sand/rock, not a good place for poison ivy = great place for me to hike, haha. We decided to hike all the way up to the top site to pitch our tent, it was about an hour to an hour and a half hike to get there but was worth it. Was a really nice trip.

I don't know if I actually got any of the tracks come to think of it, I'll have to check my phone. I left my good camera in the truck, seeing the hike we had, didn't want to take the chance of screwing it up, and before we left I couldn't find the memory card for my gym/POS camera. We did get a few pics of the view from right where our tent was set up, was astounding.

Posting from the android...should be fun.

Had a good session today. Played wit grip width.
    warm ups bench press
    Bar x some
    135x some
    185 x 6
    225 x 1
    255 x 1. Took the grip a little wider. Didn't like it.
275 x 0. Not liking wider grill. Wont use it for meet. Was just looking for a feel today and found it. Closer grip = more triceps engagement. = more solid press.

    3 board
    225 x 2
    255 x 2
    275 x 2
    295 x 2. Solid

    Cambered bar bench
105 x 10 x 3 sets. Liked these and the stretch in the shoulder.

Chin crushers/BP to chin instead of nose crushers.
    65 x 12
    85 x 10
    105 x 6
    115 x 6

    Dumbbell flies
    25s x 12 x 4 sets

Hold and press. Held weight at lockout for 3 Minutes pressing 3 tines when called then held at lockout again.
30s x 3 minutes and numerous presses. These hurt.

    Scapular retractions
    135 x 12 x 5 + 8 on last two sets

Mint, looking forward to the pics! Good pressing to, interesting to hear how you found the different grip. Always curious to hear how others find different styles of lifting

It's fun trying small tweaks and seeing what does this and such. The session went well after benching, was hoping to at least be able to get 275 regardless of hand placement, just not strong enough to muscle through it yet. Soon though, soon.

Went out to my brothers last night way out in the sticks. his wife made some flautas, man they were so good. We swam a little bit, got some fireworks and set them off. Word of warning, don't buy huge artillery shells and set them off on a street that has houses on both sides...freaking...loud as hell, haha. So, we called up my wifes uncle and went down the road to his place, he's got 75 acres of land, great place to shoot off some fireworks. Had a good time, good food, blew some stuff up, all around good time. Altogether I slept around 14 hours last night, woke up stiff in all the wrong places, but felt rested. Don't know if I'm going to lift tonight or not when I get home, may do some cardio and cook, we shall see.

Haha thanks Nick. I try to not write too much, I tend to at times just keep going on and on about things/stories. I'm going to attempt 425 x 2 tonight, going to freaking rock out!

I've decided to seriously consider competing at the Texas Highland Games next year. It's heritage, and looks freaking amazing. Just have to find a good place to train for events since it's not too known of around here. Metroflex has a raisable bar for kegs that would work for weight over bar, my coaches brother was an all american track and field athelete from USC so he could help with hammer throw and shot put, caber is the only thing I'd need to research and I'm wondering if I could just find a tree and a field and just go at it.
