The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

AM Weight: 326.4 I was expecting a little lower than this today, was hoping for 325's but was just a bit shy. Tomorrow will be a different story. My throat was sore this morning, had a bit of a fever last night. My boys has fevers a few days ago, one had tonsillitis, so hoping I can dodge this bullet pretty quickly. Gonna see about squats tonight. We shall see.

Squats tonight. Everything went relatively well.

Warm Ups + Stretching. My shoulders were really tight from the bench day yesterday.
    135 x 5
    225 x 4
    315 x 2

    Work
    365 x 1
420 x 1 Felt a little heavy, slow, but good.
455 x 1 +5lb PR Was slow, and I think a little high. I say that every damn squat session I think. Ha. My hands hit the damn safety pins at the bottom and squished my damn wrists on both hands. Felt good other than that though.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU42l...=youtube_gdata

Reverse band Squats (Just for kicks)
    455 x 1
475 x 1 Could have gone heavier here.

Box Squats against Black EFS Strong Bands
    225 x 5
    315 x 2
    355 x 1

    Leg Extensions
    75lbs x 10 x 4 sets
    100lbs x 8 x 4 sets
    125lbs x 6 x 2 sets

    Leg Curls
    75lbs x 8 x 3 sets
    100lbs x 6 x 2 sets

    Legs shaking, all done.

Thanks a ton guys, really appreciate the support here. I got a phone call today prior to leaving for work that my 36 year old brother, James, had passed away in Florida due to unknown circumstances. Needless to say, today has sucked, just adding to the loss of my Mother, and Uncle earlier this year. I'm hoping that this is the end of the deaths in our family, as we're all, just a little worn thin as it is.

Sub Par Bench, more anger/sorrow management than anything.
Bar x 10 x 2 sets Felt sore and tight, I should have waited and rested another day instead of trying to bench on an already mentally taxing day. Didn't eat calories today either, probably sitting around 800-1000 calories as it is.
    135 x 6
    185 x 6

    235 x 2
255 x 1 Shut it down here, that was it on the bench as far as raw goes.

    Add Slingshot
    255 x 6
    275 x 2

    Push/Press
    135 x 5 x 2 sets
    185 x 1

That's all I could do. Tired today, drained, physically and mentally, everything sucked.

36 is damn young, I'm worried his death will not be natural causes. He's struggled so badly with drug addictions and alcohol, just don't know. Coroner said from what they can see from the autopsy, there's no signs of natural causes, will have to wait 8 weeks for toxicity reports to come back.

Last night it took everything I had to not go off diet and go crazy, but I held as good as I could. I wanted to go buy ice cream and just eat my way through the night, God I sound like a woman after a break up, ha. I ended up snacking on better options. Had cheese, pepperoni and pork skins. Take pepperoni, the sandwich slices not pizza slices, layer them with mozerella cheese in between, microwave them, heavenly. That coupled with the Office season 1 on DVD made me feel a lot better. Expected a crappy weigh in today, like 329ish, but wasn't too bad.

AM Weight:327.4 Up a little, but not that much. Goal for Wednesday morning is 326.

It sucked, was hard, but figured this isn't going to help me, if I ate crap I'd end up feeling like crap thus feeling twice as bad because of my brother, and then because of what I ate. Figured it was for the best just to stick to the diet and keep going.
