Got some pulls in tonight, everything felt pretty well.

    Warm ups
    135 x 10
    225 x 10
    315 x 6
    405 x 2

    480 x 2 x 3 sets
480 x 1 x 2 sets This was supposed to be another double but I was exhausted at this point.

    Block Pulls
    405 x 1
    455 x 1
    505 x 1
    555 x 1
585 x .893343 Grossly slow and crazy rep, just had to let it back down just before lockout.

That was it for tonight, just got some pulls in and went on my way. Seems like when it rains it pours right? I'm about to embark on a journey to spend around 6,000 dollars on a new A/C

    Random Musings
As I sit here in my 87 degree home, awaiting the insurance company to open so I can call and began to seek pity and get an agent out ASAP, I ponder my next move for the next month, and what I want to achieve, what I want to do. I know that we'll likely be working more towards conditioning and continuing with the weight loss, which will be great for me. I'd like to embark upon lower weights and higher reps for a solid amount of time, with a few 1RM tests here and there, and not every week or every other week. I feel so daggum beat down after each week of maxing out it's pathetic. Looking forward to getting the meet under my belt, and moving on to moving more weight off the scale.

Hope things turn around. Keep lifting, helps take our minds off things, I know.

87 degrees? My A/C goes on at 80 in my house.
I'm sure whatever you and your coach comes up with will be exactly what you need. You've been rolling along really well.

Thanks a lot guys. New A/C installed and it costs 4,400, so not as bad as we were first quoted. Highest temp in the house was 97, that was on the day it was 109 outside, sucked we had to get a room for the night. Lifting hasn't happened since last week, so this week I have my workouts, only benching and deadlifting tonight and tomorrow, session thursday, then the next week is meet week, will likely just work to openers and shut it down with some accessory work. My diet was complete fail the passed 5 days, but could have been worse. My carb up was Wednesday and Thursday, but it started Tuesday night. I just felt like I didn't care at that point, with everything going on, nothing really seemed to matter. I carbed Tuesday through Saturday, and only gained 14lbs, 10lbs being the norm for carb ups, most of that being weight gain. I'm sitting around 338 right now, and actually pretty happy about that. I plan on doing keto for the next 12 days, getting me back down in to the 320's, then carb up Friday night and Saturday for the meet.

thanks everyone for the kind words regarding everything that's been going on. My brothers funeral and memorial service went wonderfully. Now time to get back under the bar and SFW.

    Thanks both Johns, haha.

Did a little bench workout tonight, felt really good. Don't know what it was, but things felt tighter, things felt a lot smoother and stronger from the get to.

    Bar x 20
135 x 10 This felt amazingly smooth and popped nicely
    185 x 3 Short quick reps
    225 x 1
    255 x 1 Exploded
    275 x 1 Exploded again, felt amazing.
285 x 0 I didn't get anything out of this, didn't stay tight, got too excited I think, the way 275 felt, I should have gotten this.
280 x .5 Cramp in left hamstring, sucked, lost the fight this time, haha.

    185 x 6 x 2 sets

    135 x 10 x 2 sets

There's a completely different mentality here. About 3 weeks ago I met a high school buddy at Freebirds. Turns out he's a youth minister now. He invited us to his church, I had put it off until about a week ago, and we went to a Wednesday night service. He runs a teen/college aged class, so we hung out in there with him since my wife and I are still college students technically, ha. The entire experience was absolutely amazing. I haven't really ever been a religious/spiritual kind of guy, but the service was an eye opener man, I really feel different and rejuvenated towards life and everything around it. Just feel different, lighter, a heck of a lot better, my attitude towards things is so different. I would have likely gotten pissed and threw stuff after failing 280 and 285, but tonight I just said hey, I got 275 solidly and it felt amazing, be thankful for that and move on. That's huge for me.

Thanks man, it sucks not getting a lift but that's what makes us hunger for more. And I learned another thing...even if I miss the lift, it's the struggle that helps guage progress. I was able to struggle more and fight more with 280 this go round than I was in the past, so that's progress, I got closer this time.
