The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    What is your body type?

1)Ectomporph - Naturally skinny, hard to gain fat and muscle
2)Endomorph - Naturally hefty, easily gains muscle and fat
3)Mesomorph - Naturally muscular, low body fat, easy to gain lean muscle

I'm not a fan of these ridiculous labels; all they do is serve to discourage and give people an excuse. Also, there are a lot more than three body types. I was skinny but found I put on muscle very easily.

    And welcome to WBB.

You are kind of like an Ecto-Meso then. Mosts ectos are like that, unless you are a super ecto

I have no idea... Endo if I had to guess... 4 years ago I would have said Ecto because I didn't know how to eat. I agree with primal, these labels mean very little IMO.

I'm an ecto-endo-meso...depending on my diet and lifting at the time.

Well the labels refer to your natural being when you are not training, but just eating healthy... But, over time with age the label will change. And of course, you can change your body type if you wish at any time.

    im a super-duper ecto

i find it incredibally hard to gain fat and muscle, and more than 4 or 5 days away from the gym and i start losing my strength gains

i have to over-work myself or i end up stuck lifting the same weight every time

If you are a super ecto then i do believe you can lose weight within days for sure. But i wouldn't have thought that you would lose strength. not within days surely?

That's good. But you still gotta keep a good diet, for your health and future healths sake

I believe this system was on a 7-1 scale where 7 is pure, and 1 is non existent. I'm probably a 6 for ecto, a 3 for endo, and a 2 for meso.
