Wilks is a good normalizing formula that is used by many powerlifting federations (I know WABDL uses it) so I say let's go with it.

I'm in on this for sure. What will be the deadline date?

    SQ 490x1 (raw)
    BP 430x1 (shirted), 320x1 (raw)

If it's not too late, I'd like to get in on this as well. I should be a bit above 1300 raw, I don't care what the rules are, wraps or none, weight classes or wilks, just sounds like fun. Great idea, gives a little extra motivation behind training.

    OK here we go:

    - We'll squat, bench and dead
    - The lifts must be posted online before November 30th at midnight
    - Wraps, sleeves and belts allowed
    - Lift as clean as possible so there's no arguing
    - No pause on the bench
    - We'll use wilks for the overall standings
    - Titles are "Best lifter by formula" "Best total" "Best squat" "Best bench" and "Best deadlift"
    - Vinny Dizenzo will review all lifts and will decide if it's good or not
    - Someone asked if you could use a video from a meet, yes go ahead pal

If you are going to use wilks formula to compute a normalized total then I would suggest having the lifts done relatively close together time wise since the formula is for a specific weight.

Oh and a link to my log is in my signature.

    This should be fun guys.

I'm in the middle of rehabbing a piriformis and hamstring pull, so this is great motivation. I'll see where I am at November 30th. My training log is in my sig. Great idea and thanks for doing this!
Most people pray for a lighter load in life...ever thought of praying for a stronger back?

Great job, everything sounds spot on.

I wonder whether you might stipulate that the lifts must be done on the week commencing the 23rd just to ensure that everyone does their lifts roughly around the same time and it'll also build some great anticipation as all of the lifts will come in on that week. Could go either way on that one though, your call.

Also, it would be good to start an official thread on this and it can literally be for the ongoing discussion of how peoples training etc is going for their lifts?

I'll get with Chris and work on some prizes and pm them to you. If we're on the same page we can then announce them in the official thread!

Sorry I should have been more clear in my post. We're adding 1 week for people to enter the competition, we're still lifting at the end of November.

How is everybody going to work up to this meet? Im interested in seeing what people are going to do for bench specifically because im not sure if i should try and peak or just max that week like as planned in my westside routine.

With the short notice, I'm not going to change my routine. We'll see how it goes.

Are there any requirements to get in on this competition? As you can see, I dont post often (ever), but have been lurking for awhile. Im currently taking a break from competing in gear, and this seems like a good chance to see where Im at raw currently.
    Current Bests: (IPF meet)
    SQ: 252.5 kg (557 lb)
    BP: 155 kg (341 lb)
    DL: 262.5 kg (578 lb)

I won't change my routine either, I am planning to do a meet a few weeks later, so I'll use this as my last max session before I begin reducing my volume. This was a great idea and I really appreciate everyone who is involved in running it.

I think I'm doing a meet December 5th...wondering how I'm gonna work on maxing out prior to that. Maybe I'll test some openers and submit them to the contest, during the 3rd week of November or something.
Don't asker for a light load, but a strong back.

Painzer and myself are doing a meet November 14th. I'm not sure if we will be using a mono lift or not for squats. Will they still count?
