So there are going to be guys with 1500-1600 lb totals in this? Maybe they should set one up for the under 1000 group

They are going to use the Wilks Formula to determine the winners. This way it will be a more level playing field, regardless of bodyweight.

Haha, there are a lot of guys with similar strength ranges. I think it will be a very good comp.

This is a calculator that you can just plug your BWT and Total into to calculate your Wilks total(you just have to convert them to kilos).

Don't ever be intimidated by someone else's numbers. If you are doing this, do it for yourself. Enjoy your journey through strength because there is no finish line.

It would mess up his training cycle, I'm not doing it for the exact same reason

Also, I would still like to throw out the idea of possibly creating a paypal account and opening it up for donations. I mean, if ALN is willing to put up such nice prizes for this, the least each entrant could do would be to donate 10-15 bucks to a cancer research foundation. I dont know about you guys but I have lost a few family members to cancer and I would be more than willing to donate some money.

I don't see why a monolift won't count - this event is for fun. I'm not changing my training except that I'll be taking a max at the end of November. I'll get what I get. I'm sure people will point their fingers and laugh too. Its all good - as long as I hit depth on squats!

i'm in. could use the money for some supps plus it sounds like it would be fun. bw 210~ total should be around 1450-1500. is the best lift done by formula as well or is it just whoever lifts the most in said lift wins?

My total isn't going to be anything stellar either. Matter of fact, I'm sure I'm gonna get my arse handed to me - but that isn't what this competition is about. Its about having fun, showing others your lifts, having a good time.

Heck yeah! Everyone should get in on this! Vinny is the judge, he'll determine if anyone might be 'too' strong for the strongest of the weak competition. You can't be disqualified for being too weak, but you might get the boot if you are too strong. That makes it the perfect competition for all of us!

I've heard rumors that Vinny's judging is arbitrary and capricious. Also, any complaints about judging has to be submitted in writing on the back of a $50 bill BEFORE the competition takes place.

Ah, I have a meet Dec. 5th...maybe I'll hold off to. I'll have to ask Tone if we can work this into my cycles. Otherwise, I may have to withdraw.

You know, the idea of an entrance fee may not be all that bad? We would put all of it back into prize monies. Say it was $10 each, with enough people that would add some decent cash to the payout... Hmmm..... What do you guys think?

well i hope i'm not too strong because i honestly could use a shot at getting some free supplements. i put alot of work into my training to get where i'm at and i'd hate to not be allowed because other people don't work as hard... not trying to sound dumb it'd just be insulting lol

how much of it would reach the payout? would the entrance fee go to donations or just to help fund the payouts? otherwise not a bad idea
