    elbows in or elbows out???

there is a machine i like to use and i do triceps on it.
it is called the IMPACT DIP MACHINE or at least it looks like this one...
    http://www.performbetter.com/detail....tegoryID_E_461
so thats the name i'm going with

NOTE: the machine i use has a FLAT BACK which is NOT LEANING forwards like this one, it is leaning EVER SO SLIGHTLY backwards.

anyway, i like to keep my elbows IN (close to my body) when doing these but i see people having their elbows OUT as well.

    which is better?

Depends on how you want to use it. Elbows in will hit more triceps, elbows out is more shoulders

    elbows in

might try adding dips (if you haven't already) instead of using the machine

it's a humbling experience when you fail on a body weight exercise

yeah, i second using real dips instead of this. they're a lot of fun.

elbows in is a lot healthier. elbows out will lead to shoulder problems unless your were blessed with golden rotator cuffs of the gods.

For sure, elbows in if you want to hit your tris more. Nix the machine (unless you've got no choice) and do dips.
    Give chalk a chance.
