    It looked way too high to me. Also, your knees looked like they were buckling and I swear I saw you visibly age during the squat. I think the weight is too heavy, you're too old, and much too weak. You should drop out of the contest immediately if not sooner.

    Seriously though, it looked a hair high, but the speed was easily there. If you nail the depth, you've got the weight. I'm thinking a 500 lbs squat is not out of the question.

    Thanks for the critique. I thought it might be a bit high, I do agree the speed and even the strength is there to do 500 or so. Yes I think I did age a bit after that squat. lol

    yes powerm it looked about an inch high but that might just be camera angle

    This video brings up a good point, if you want your lifts to count be sure to place the camera at an angle which allows for proper judging of the lift.

    8 days till the meet Im doing that Im using for this competitions. I got my openers planned now.
    Squat-530
    Bench-385
    Deadlift-600

    Ok, not really. But Im going for an 1120 total and really think I can do more than that.

    Got some work done tonight. Set a new PR on deadlifts - 365 lbs x 5... they were some ugly reps, but they went up fairly quick with no hitching. Ribs are sore as hell but healing.

    I take it back... ribs are not healing. Overdid it yesterday and I'm paying for it today. The dog stepped on my ribs earlier today and it about sent me through the roof. Might be able to bench tonight, but I don't see squats happening.

    Here is my entry from my 1st PL Meet this weekend my bench was really off but due to the fact that I just did the meet sunday and got my wisdom teeth taken out today I dont see myself going heavy in the gym in any time soon so I will enter this video. Good luck everyone I hope to maybe do some more of these comps again in the future:

    I had my meet this weekend. Unfortunatley I have to pull out of this competition. I only got my first deadlift in, which wasnt caught on video. Even if it had been on video, the angle and distance of the benching and squatting werent really that great and Im not going to redo it cause I have another meet in 4 weeks. I had squatted 375, benched 225 and deadlifted 405. Thanks to all who made this competition possible, thanks to ALN for putting up the prizes, and good luck to the competitors.

    Nice lifts man!

    I am pretty sure others would agree that if the lifts were done in a meet that they should count for this competition. I will let those that are judging make that decision, but I don't see why not.

    I've got no problem with that... if the judges that were at the competition gave you white lights, than I don't have any issue with your total at all. But then again, I'm not a judge.

    I also have no problem with lifts done in a meet counting towards this online competition. If the meet is verified and has online results it should count in my opinion.

    Im going to pull out of this one. I had flu about 2 weeks ago and it killed my strength. I was going to do a meet on Nov 14 and use video from that meet but decided to reschedule for another meet on Dec 5. I'll be saving my strength for that meet.

    People are dropping like flies... I'm going to give this thing a shot no matter what. I haven't been able to train for two weeks because of my cracked ribs. I doubt I'll get under the bar before the competition deadline, which leaves me with some pathetic lifts in my future. No matter - this one is for fun! And if you guys keep dropping, I'll be the last man standing.

    Throw in some training vids!

    Believe me i'd rather not quit but I'd also rather save my strength for a meet i'm paying ~$100 for vs. an online competition.
