    Hit a recovery workout for legs on Friday. Did some shoulder work yesterday. Lower back has been bugging me lately. Too much time behind a desk sitting in a chair or in a car driving across the state. Did some band inversion before deadlifts. Helped some.

    Got f'n pissed missing 405. Went back to my old stance & grip. Shit started moving again. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

    345 x 1 - slingshot; weight shot up!

    BW = 197 lbs

    Haven't totally given up competing on April 6th. I hit some good sets, moved some weight, and got some solid work done. My right elbow and shoulder were feeling it. I called it there. Tomorrow's recovery work will be key to moving forward.

    Lifted at a CF gym today. It was a fun experience. I loaded up 405 on the bar for squats - which took up all the room on the bar. :lol: A small crowd formed and one of the girls pointed out that the bar was bending. :lol: :lol: Did two sets of doubles. Was going to hit a triple on the second set, but I got a bit excited and took a step forward at the top. Guess I need to finish a rep before doing the next one in my head.

    I am very used to lifting by myself. Having people watching me and giving me encouragement was odd. Even funnier having them tell me it was impressive. Thank God they didn't ask me to try a double under or something.

    Deadlifts were next. Could only get 405 on the bar... well, I could have gotten 425 on the bar, but was too lazy to go through the effort. Hit 6 reps at 405.

    Fun day, coached deadlifts and squats for CF girls, earned some money, got a free lunch. It was a good day.

    Too lazy to post my whole workout. Highlights:

    Squat
    365 x 1 - belt only. Went up easy. Pretty sure that might be a PR for no knee sleeves or wraps.
    410 x 1 - added knee wraps
    410 x 2 - bicipital tendonitis was bothering me a lot by this time. Had to shut it down.

    Knew my right arm would bother me today. Slept on it wrong and the shoulder was painful this morning. Did what I could to warm it up and work it out before I lifted. Did okay. Would have preferred a few more doubles at 410.

    My deadlift has been in the crapper for awhile. It is only now starting to come back. Frankly, if I can't pull 500, I don't wanna pull in a meet. Bench has been stagnant. Roughly the same as last meet. Squats, on the other hand, have been coming along very well. Plus, by working this meet, I get a free entry at the next one!

    Bicipital tendonitis has been kicking my ass lately. Really bad on the right arm. Tolerable in the left. Shoulders hurt too. Need to work on rehabbing them... but lifting heavy **** is soooo much fun. Instead of being smart, I hit a PR! Cannot believe how easily 295 moved. Felt like I could have repped it all day.

    Pretty much done after benching. Right arm is pretty painful... doesn't really matter. I got a nice PR today.

    Honestly, I just eat. If want to gain more weight, I eat more. If I want to lose it, I cut out pizza and beer. I do weigh myself in the morning and at night. I pretty know how much I can consume throughout the day to hit a target weight. I also do some intermittent fasting on weekends.

    Right now - nothing. I'm working on getting ready for a real program starting first of June. Right now, I just want to train work capacity and move some heavy crap around without getting too beat up (hence reverse bands). A lot of it is prehab/rehab - super boring stuff involving light bands or tiny weights for lots and lots of reps - shoulder, biceps, and elbows.
