    Foam Rolling, band work, prehab/rehab

    Squats (speed work)
    135 x 8 x 3
    225 x 5
    275 x 5
    300 x 3 x 3 - belt & sleeves; last two sets felt pretty good form-wise
    255 x 5 x 2
255 x 10 - was supposed to be two sets of five, but hey, I wanted to do ten!
    255 x 5 - should'a done two sets of five.

    Reverse Hyper
    15 x 3

    Standing Ab Pulldowns
    100 x 15 x 3

    Trained fasted this morning

Lower back is hurting pretty bad today. Too much time sitting in an office chair yesterday. Putting a bar on my back and compressing my spine sucked bad.

    Got the work done.

I like the floor press, but I think I'm not tucking my elbows as hard as I need to. 265 felt pretty easy for the first two sets. Glad I didn't go higher by the time I hit the 3rd one. Working on my volume - gotta improve my work capacity. Need to add about 200 lbs to my total.

    185 x 8
    225 x 3
    315 x 3
    335 x 3 x 3 - added belt on second set
    355 x 2 - off a 3" block
    355 x 2 - off of floor - my blocks sucked

    Oly Squat
    225 x 8 x 3 - last set were all paused squats - between a 3 and 5 count

    Back Raises
    50

    Reverse Hyper
    15 x 3

    Standing Ab Rope Pulldowns
    80 x 20 x 5

Hiking trails with Mary (wife) & Barclay (wife's horse)

    Foam Rolling

    Deadlift
    135 x 8 - hook grip
    225 x 5
    280 x 1 x 10 - Working on speed. Still a bit slow off the floor.
230 x 20 - rack pull - set the rack up so it was the same as a 4" block pull

    Oly Squats
    225 x 8 x 3 - last set was pretty good

Reverse Hyper (giant set with abs)
    15 x 4

    Standing Ab Rope Pulldowns

    BW = 199 lbs

    Foam Rolling, Prehab/Rehab Band Work

    Bench (close grip)
Bar x a lot - feet on bench
    95 x 20
    135 x 10
    185 x 5 - feet on floor
    235 x 3 x 5 - good bar speed. Very pleased.

    SOHP
    100 x 20 x 2

    Band Pushdowns
    100

    Face Pulls
    50 x 20 x 3

    Ab Wheel of Excruciating Pain
    15 x 3

Pretty good workout. All the damned prehab/rehab crap adds so much time to the training. Do not like doing it, but have to. Rolling around at about 200 lbs BW.

Thanks! I finished my working set of squats feeling strong with a lot left in the tank. Great confidence booster. However, the 20 rep squat scheme destroyed me. LOL

Spent some time in Michigan near Detroit. Will not ever be going back there... ever.

Found a gym and tried to deadlift. Hard to do with small hands and no chalk (hook grip). At least they do allow chalk, but I didn't bring any. Was told to stop at 405 because I was scaring the old people. Which was fine by me cause I was barely able to hold onto the bar. The owner was super nice about it though... Did some overhead pressing.

    SOHP
    Bunch of lighter stuff
    195 x 3
    200 x 2
    135 x 20
    135 x 16
135 x 10 - strip set (next three done as strip set)
    95 x 10
    45 x whatever

    Triceps Pushdowns
    120 x 35
    150 x 30 x 3

    Lat Pulldowns
    120 lbs x 15 x 4

    That's about it...

    135 x 10
    225 x 8
    275 x 5
    320 x 5 x 2
    320 x 10
    320 x 5

    Standing Ab Pulldowns
    100 x 15 x 4

    BW = 204

Suffering from some low back issues. I blame all the recent traveling. Being old with a bad back sucks.

Got a massage and chiropractic adjustment on Wednesday. Mid-back was super tight. After the adjustment, I felt good. Then I had a fall on Thursday. Searching for a wastewater treatment systems effluent pipe in the swamps by the Lynches River I lost my footing and went down hard. Pretty much negated everything I had done the day before.

    Foam Rolling & Band Work

    Band Pull Aparts
    20 x 2

    Face Pulls
    50 x 20 x 2

    Floor Press
    Bar x a lot
    95 x a lot
    135 x 10
    185 x 5
225 x 5 x 5 - 30 second rest in between first three sets. Uhmmm... longer for the last two.

    SOHP (supersetted with triceps)
135 x 10 - all done as one big, giant, superset
    135 x 6
    95 x 12

Triceps Pushdowns (done with SOHP as a giant set)
    50 x 25
    50 x 20 x 2

    Stand Ab Pulldowns
    50 x 50 x 2

    All work done fasted.

Back is still screwed up from my fall Thursday. Kept things light and moving quick today.

Inversion Therapy with bands, Foam Rolling, Warm-ups

    Deadlifts
    135 x 8
    225 x 5
    315 x 3
370 x 3 x 2 - added belt; could quite lock out the last few reps, back hurt too much when I tried to straighten out. Not a strength problem, was a pain problem.
    255 x 10 x 3 - straps; snatch grip deadlifts

    Olympic Squats
225 x 10 - wife caught me rolling around the floor in pain and took away my bar.

    Standing Ab Pulldowns
    100 x 15 x 4

    BW = 202

Workout done fasted. Back was problem today. After my first set of squats, it was hurting pretty good.
