Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Need help with my workouts

    I've been working out for a couple months now, and i dont know if im doing something wrong but i have not really seen any gains. Can someone help me with my workout

    Heres what it currently looks like

    Monday- Chest
    Bench Press 4 sets 6-8 reps
    Incline dumbell press 4 sets 6-8
    Decline Machine press 4 sets 6-8
    Seated Cable Flys 4 sets 6-8

    Tuesday- Biceps
    Curls 4 sets 6-8
    Preacher curls 4 sets 6-8
    Standing bar curls 4 sets 6-8
    Incline dumbell curls 4 sets 6-8
    Hammer curls 4 sets 6-8


    Wednesday- shoulders, legs
    Military press 4 sets 6-8 reps
    Shoulder press 4 sets 6-8
    Shrugs 4 sets 6-8
    upright barbell row 4 sets 6-8

    Friday- Back, triceps
    Lat pulldowns 4 sets 6-8
    Seated Row 4 sets 6-8
    Middle Back shrug 4 sets 6-8
    Straight bar pull downs 4 Sets 6-8
    Pull ups 3 sets of as many as i can do

    Tricep pushdowns 4 set 6-8
    Tricep pushdowns with ropes 4 sets 6-8
    Lying tricep press 4 set 6-8
    dips 4 sets 6-8

    Im 18 and weight 160 pounds, currently eating around 3500-4000, and taking kre-akalyn complex, and pro complex protein

    Dude, no wonder you're not making any gains.

    There is far too much volume in your routine.

    Try Bill Starr's 5x5. People gain well on that.

    Looks like enough workload for three guys. I'd cut it way back.

    No. While its a good routine it is horrible for novices. Read the stickies.


    OP: Have you noticed that on your Leg Day there are no leg movements? What about a day dedicated to one of the smallest and weakest muscles?

    Your routine is no good. Read the stickies.
