Guys, I have my first meet next Saturday and just have a few questions.
What should my nutrition look like the days leading up to the meet, and the day of the meet? What and how should I eat during the day of the meet?
I take Results, should I take that the day of the meet? How do you guys get the adrenaline you need to try set 3 PRs in a single day?
Also, here are my thoughts for how I should stack my lifts, do they look ok?
My current gym maxes are as follows:
Bench - 285 Pause rep
Squat - 411
Dead - 476
Here's my thoughts a week out from the meet:
Squat - Opener - 365, 2nd - 405, 3rd - 420/430 (depending how I feel)
Bench - Opener - 260, 2nd - 280, 3rd - 285/295 (depending how I feel)
Deads - Opener - 420, 2nd - 475, 3rd - 495/500 (depending how I feel)
If I hit all my 2nd lifts and missed all of my third attempts, it would give me a total of 1160.
If I manage to hit my 3rd attempts I could hit 1200/1225
My goal is to hit 1200 at this meet.
I've read a lot of the "first meet" threads before, and I always hear people say "don't worry about all that stuff, it's your first meet, just go learn and have fun." But I will be fairly competitive in this particular meet, and I don't want to come up short.
My 2nd attempts on Bench and Squat are both numbers that I have hit multiple times before, the dead lift only once.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
