I was wondering if some of the experienced benchers on the forum could help me out with this question.
A little background first, I am about 198 lbs and am just starting to train for my first powerlifting competition in July. I currently have a raw paused bench of 325. I am natural an plan on staying natural, and had planned on doing my meets raw.
The question is, by december 2009, saying i train specifically to get my bench up and i wore gear, is it feasible to put up 405?
The reason i ask is because i was looking at the Ontario bench records and the 90kg Junior record is 402 lbs! I know I am just getting started into powerlifting and its a lot to jump in and chase a record, but its my last year as a junior and i think it would be pretty unreal if i reached that!
