    Haulin Steel.........with some minor injuries.

    Weighted abs-
    10

    Ultra wide from floor-
(feet 2.5" past where plates would be)
    135x5
    225x1
315x1 knew I was in for some hard work if I wanted a PR today
    405x1
    455x1
Add suit with straps fairly loose and chalk
    495x1 shit rep
    545x1 good rep
    Feet now 1" past plates
    585x1 shit rep
    615x1 good rep and PR

    Weighted abs-
    3 sets 15

    Back raises-
    BW x15
    45lb sand bag at chin x 15
BW x15 with 15 sec hold at top of last

    Pullthroughs-
    Wide 100x12
    Close 100x12

    Calve raises-
    20
    16

    Seated hamstrings-
    2 sets 15

    Side bends-
    25lb bell x 20 per side

Hit and miss due to gear being tight, was very hard to get to bar.

To get a PR while being pretty beat up is cool.

"Tip of the day"- do a set of abs before your squats or pulls to activate your abs.....got this from an 880 puller.

Nice PR Nick. How are you putting your feet "past where the plates would be"? Are you using a longer bar? EDIT: nvm, saw the video on the previous page. Gonna start working sumo thanks to you. My hips need it.

Strong stuff that wide from the floor Nick! The tip is spot on too. I used to do a set of abs and some flute activation before squats/pulls. I do a set of pushups before benching as well.

Holy fuck dude!!! How the hell are yous STILL banging out 50 lb raw PR's at the level you are at?!?! That's insane...you made that shit look easy too man. Good stuff.

I have to possibly take your advice here too with the less volume, more quality...I tend to push myself too hard with the volume sometimes....it really drains me out, and kills my motivation (which has been the case lately).

Thanks HJP!! My goal is to pull 800@220...........the next 18 months are mainly for pulling but I still squat etc.

Thanks Kiff!! Good to be pulling PRs when feeling out of whack.......back is very tight now from a few weeks back when I strained it but getting better quick.

Thanks Garage Lifter!! SLDL against bands on Friday....heavy!

Thanks Coke!! The warm-ups were hard which is very rare so I knew I would have to dig deep and I guess I did........if technique was spot on I could have done 25lb more IMO.

Thanks Tank!! The block pulls have given great carryover.

    Thanks Thomas!! Yep........moving up.

Thanks Tom!! Keen as ever.........GO NSW BLUES!

Thanks Dan!! They will help your squats.

Thanks John!! Balance was an issue ha ha.......technique was hit and miss but Ill get it soon...weird because last week was much better technique wise.

Thanks Bri!! Yeah I think waving volume is the best idea..........sometimes too much is negative and drains me too......next 8 weeks will be less volume/better quality ie: work the muscle well and not focus on numbers on stuff like back raises etc.

Thanks Borracho!! More work to do and Im ready!

Thanks for all the comments..........this site is number 1 for many reasons!!

Please keep up the "Tip of the day" I have loved reading your tips and they have been very useful, we can not remember everything all the time so reminders are good.

    Extra work/ blood flow work.

    Parallel grip cable rows-
    70 x 12
    100 x 12
    120 x 25

    Swiss ball abs-
    3 sets of 15

    Good mornings-
45 x 20 nice and slow with good stretch

    Side raises-
3 sets of 15 and 1 drop set

    Barbell curls super strict-
    65 x 15

    Reverse curls super strict-
    65 x 12

    Band hammer curls-
    Stand on monster x 15

Feeling really good and fresh...........dropped a few sets in overall volume this last week or so and I feel better for it.

Friday I am training with my "sometimes can make it" (sorry bro) training partner who lives miles out right now Eddie.......he is a strong little bull and has a best raw squat of 500@165.

Going to do some SLDL against crazy tension 300+ for fun and because the leverage against bands from that position is so hard it will nail the lock-out, may have a rep contest with him as he always wants to beat at high reps ..........think I will have him now.

I, for one, can see that 800lb pull arriving before you know it if you keep setting PRs at this rate lol.
