yeah, those are what i do, the 45 degree back raise as thats all we have too, but the back extention is like flexion/extention of the spine/erector muscles! its supposed to be brilliant for lower/mid back work! i was just wondering if you had ever done them because you have a mighty strong pull!

Had a look at video, I have not used that exact piece of equipment but you can actaully do the variations on the 45.

You can curl and un-curl the erectors, you can focus on glutes etc etc and I do like to mix the styles.

    Cheers!

Good deal on seeing a specialist, this way you will get the proper diagnosis and treatment if it comes to that. Remain optimistic, the situation could really be a whole lot worse.

You know how to work around this as best you can Nick. I'm hoping the news is good, but with your desire and a little support from the boys on the forum you'll be pulling again regardless. Don't forget that. We've both seen several guys on here that have overcome or are overcoming injuries. One step at a time.

Hope the issue with the forearm isn't too serious man. Let us know what the specialist says.

    Thanks guys!!!!! Means a lot.

I see the specialist 8 August.

Going to but a SS bar and leave at my gym so I can squat, GM, hise shrug, front squat etc.

Unhappy of course with the injury but kinda excited about the new bar

BW goal is still in motion too so overall I'm still pretty much in the thick of it.

Hope it's good news with the doc!

It might not seem like it now, but this might work out well and have you doing the big three. The plan with the SSB sounds good too!

    Thanks John and Hayden!!

Feeling good.......get the bar Saturday and will use the crap out of it.......one thing Ive been wanting to do is this:
Partial Arches "This exercise is great for your entire back; from your upper back to your erectors. One of the best ways to do this exercise is to place the bar on your back and sit on a box. While sitting on the box arch your low back and upper back. After holding this position for a few seconds, roll your upper back and round your low back. Make sure to stay tight in this position. Hold this for a few seconds and arch back to the original position. Concentrate on arching hard and rounding over; this will exhaust the muscles of your back. This exercise will not only build a ton of muscle but allow the lifter to feel what it is like to arch at the bottom of your squat."
    Elite FTS

    Upper assistance day one armed.

    Cable rows standing-
    50 x 15
    70 x 12
    80 x 10
    90 x 10
    100 x 10
    110 x 15

    Band rows-
    2 sets of 30

    Upright rows kettlebell-
    3 sets of 12

    Straight arm pulldowns-
3 sets of 12 (these always kill)

    Weighted abs-
    3 sets of 10

    Band upright rows-
    3 sets of 15

    Strict slow curls-
    3 sets of 12

    Side raises-
    2 sets of 12

Good pump up.....all done with left arm which is smaller anyway..............heavy back raises tomorrow along with leg press and some lower assistance.

"Tip of the day"- try some explosive ab work where you push out your gut hard each rep.....should help your pull.

Thos Partial Arches are good Nick. I've done them a couple times and really felt them. I mean to do them more often, but by priority they always kind of end up last or not at all.

Wonder what docs diagnosis will be, you actually deserve a few extra days rest beforehand - been a workhorse for as long as I can remember.

Thanks guys really appreciate the words even more when your not 100% which is pretty often I guess as a lifter.

I get the SSB form gymdirect Tom........show room in Miranda I think which has some pretty good stuff really.

Bar is 210 for the floor model which has never been used.

Calves are very sore for once so Im happy with the training I did in that area.

    BW 219.

Tip of the day-block pulls against bands....do it no one does them yet they are 70% of the reason I put 140 on my floor deadlift in a short time hmmmmmmmm.

Again cheers for the support gentleman!!
