The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

People just think Im lying......lots of people talk up there numbers at the gym so when someone is telling the truth everyone just calls bullshit.

I unracked 960 and held it for 4 seconds (squat) and posted it here a while back and one little bitch thought I was a lair and quit writing in my log because of it and in his told the story of a guy who was saying he unracked 960 and was full of shit (clearly me since it was the same week).

I actually have it on video but do not think it is impressive and could not be bothered uploading something like that.

Same as the band tension....when I say the greens are 200 with my set up which has a base way wider than most set ups people think Im trying to add pounds to the lift but Im not its just what I think they are at the very top.

Not complaining just saying winners just get better while losers pick fault with people for dumb shit.

Speed strength training is important for both fitness training and professional athletes. Boxing, football and power lifting are examples of sports where speed strength is essential. Speed strength is how much power you are able to apply at fast speeds. It is comprised of two aspects which are starting strength and explosive strength. Starting strength is your potential to stimulate muscle fibers at high speeds, while explosive strength is your ability to keep the muscle fibers active for extended periods of time. Training requirements differ between individuals and this should be taken into account to maximize results. Change strength training programs to suit your body type, gender, ability and goals. Speed strength training requires dedication and you need to train consistently. Increase your motivation by making a list of your goals and reasons for training. Keep a log of the training that you've done and make a record of your progress.
Holy unsolicted advice. I especially like the part that I have bolded.........since you have written this in his log, where he regularly mentions goals both long and short term and records every item of training he does. Nice.

Sorry bout that Nick but WTF??

Hope the elbow heals up man. I was talking to guy last weekend who has to pull with a hook grip because when he pulls with a mixed grip his outward facing hand/elbow pops out. I know its not totally the same but it was interesting. Shit for him though.

Who called you out about the stand out? Pathetic that someone would do that.

Yeah not sure what that guy was doing writting in here telling me what to do but it must have been spam as it was removed with-out me knowing?

All good in the hood, some weird people out there for sure.

The guy I won't name only becuase I do not want to be know for starting anything but he does post here, he was always nice until I posted that.........bad attitude!

He was saying how hard he had worked to get to his level and that I was disrespecting people by lying, I have had mutiple injries and hemroids which caused great pain for 4-5 months EVERY DAY last year so he was assuming I had it easy..........no one does.

    Thanks bro!!

Yeah to recover from falling forward tells me 700 will be no problem next time when I turn feet in slightly (will let me sit back more stopping the fall forward).

Always ready for the next session and tomorrow I want to nail lower back, upper back, quads and light high rep biceps in that order.

Eating some chicken then off to bed with my girl and my cat who (the cat) weighs 14.5lb of solid muscle........he can jump onto my shoulders!

Strong as fuck nick. Wouldn't sweat the balance thing too much. That uber wide stance is the biggest contributing factor to that happening.

Bit of maiden too. Can't beat it

Thanks BC!! Yeah I should pull 700 from floor this year with a deadlift bar.
I can't say how pleased I am that my arm seems ok........set back did not really worry me but now I can continue on and have had a semi deload which I needed anyway.....now its time for some work!

Thanks Justin!! Maiden rules "can I play with madness" yes I can!
All I need to do is have my feet at the right angle and the weights fly up, too far parallel to bar and I fall forward but too straight and my hips are too far from bar to move big weight smoothly.

    Appreciate the support as always!!

"Tip of the day"- don't spend too long down at the bar setting up on pulls, it will kill your speed.

Tip 2- let big weights excite you not intimadate you.

Thanks Tank!! I did the 675 with bad form on with-out pumping up for the lift at all which usually give me 25lb.
I went to buy the SSB btw but the damn place is no longer open weekends, dont want to pay 249+30 postage when I could pick it up for 210 (floor model).

Thanks Mark!! They are fake plates......looks good though huh
Thanks for the support, I will never leave this forum and am ALWAYS more than happy to help lifters as I have been helped so much!

Just writting up my plan for work the next two days (trying to fit 15hrs work into 11 each day) and my plan which changed due to arm for training............bet you know which one gets more focus ha ha.
