The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Thanks guys it means a lot.........shit week but I finished with a PR and that makes it all better well almost ha ha Im in some pain

Resting up more than ever this week.

I know what needs work from seeing the vids my legs want to straighten too soon because my lowerback is stronger than my quads which will cause injury if I dont fix it.

Will step up the quad work from next session but also will be hitting raw close stance sumo for reps which will build the exact muscles that need work IMO.

    BW 219

    Cheers for the support!!!!!

    Quick upper back session

    Cable rows single arm-
    80 x 12
    120 x 26 + 4 PR with good form

    Parallel grip cable rows-
    120 x 12 x 2 sets

    Upright rows-
    Mini band x 15 x 2 sets

    Band rows-
    15

Done, this was a good little work-out with very short rests for a pump up.

    Feeling better by the hour.

    Thanks Mark, Coke and Hayden!!!!!

A bit silly but I snuck off to the gym to pull from the floor......sick of my sig saying 615 since that was ultra wide which is harder.

    Sumo-
    135 x 4
    225 x 2
    315 x 1
    405 x 1 joke weight
    455 x 1 same really
    495 x 1
    Add suit
    545 x 1 not the best
    585 x 1 good form
630 x 1 PR but too big a jump maybe as I did not have my normal speed

Thats it........I will hit 650 with the stiff bar next time.

Worn out but happy............Specialist tomorrow so fingers crossed

Thanks Hayden, might not have been a good idea as Im pretty beat up but it showed what I knew I could do in a poor state.

Will bet that when fresh just not sure by how much.

Planning out my next few weeks now which will be slighty different in small ways but mostly the same.

One thing I need to add is an extra ab day.......one heavy per week is not enough for someone who wants a big pull!

Things I will be focusing on for the next short while.

    -Heavy abs
    -Very high rep back raises
    -Heavy back raises
    -Close stance GMs
    -Leg press/ raw squats
    -Pulls once per week only

Things I will back off on.

-Speed pulls (speed is not really an issue at least from floor and I want to put the energy into the above)
-Conventional deadlift rep work (only to rest my elbow) these will be replaced by the close stance GMs

Weight gain is also important right now......223 AM is the goal and I actually believe the only reason I have hit PRs the last few weeks is due to the 2-3lbs extra muscle I have put on helping me out.

Thanks guys!!!!! Hard to type as my right hand is taped up to rest the fingers.......small tear on the tendon has givin me tennis elbow and using the fingers inflames it.

Good news is he said heavy lifting will prob bother it less than small shit with the fingers............12 weeks to fully heal so thats not too bad.

Bad news is he cant fix the left elbow, ill explain later but I have done a fair bit of damage over the years to the joint............will be selling 4 bench shirts GOOD shirts.

    Assistance day.

    Leg press-
    2PPS X 10
    3PPS X 10
    4PPS X 10
    5PPS X 10
    6PPS X 10
7PPS X 20 pretty damn easy which pleased me and ROM was good

    Back raises-
BW x 50 with 5 sec hold on last
    50lb sandbag x 12
    50 x 10
    50 x 8

    Reverse curls right arm-
    5 x15
    5 x 15

    Close stance GMs-
    45 x 6
    95 x 6
    135 x 6
    185 x 6
    225 x 6

    Stretching x 10 mins

    Weighted abs-
    4 sets of 10

    Leg raises-
    3 sets of 10

    Calve raises-
4 sets of 15 up to a PR set

Meh, not like pulling just a bit boring.

Feel I can hit 10PPS x 20 pretty soon which should pack some size on the quads which in turn will build a weakness in the pull.

Leg raises hit the abs pretty well, abs will now be trained heavy 3 or even 4 times per week.

GMs were hard on the shoulders thats why I stayed light......stretching will help.

    Thanks!!

Yeah it grinds and will only get worse from benching........I could bench no doubt if I took an injection but then in coming years a would have limited use of my left arm so its a no brainer for me.

A little upset but that is life......Im glad to be on this planet and not going to cry about it.

All good, pulls are the best lift anyhow and everyone who lifts knows it
