The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Good work as usual from the Aussie.

Something you may want to try to mix things up, but try filming from the side or at an angle once in a while. It really helps to tract your bar path and back angle and you may pick something up from it.

Thanks Tank, Justin, B&T, BC, Tom and Mark!!!!!

    Good idea B&T.

    That would be awesome BC.

Tom was not feeling it at all that day but my PR is 745.

Back is feeling great from the rep work pulls so Im going to find a place for rep work in the rack like WS does.....I tend to find specific work helps my most (get less carry over from stuff like GMs than some guys).

Really keen to test my deficit pulls I want a 20lb + PR and I am going to get it.

Auckland Warriors V Melbourne cheat Storm tonight.....Warriors are 3.3 to 1 outsiders but I give them a chance GO WARRIORS!!

Haulin Steel................on Mondays now....felt pretty fresh yay.

    Weighted abs-
    10

Sumo against greens (200lb) off 1.25" mats-
    135+ bands x 2
    225+ bands x 1
    315+ bands x 1
Add suit early and I liked it
405+ bands x 1 super fast like 1/2 sec fast
    495+ bands x 1 fast
    545+ bands x 1 easy
585+ bands x miss.....could not lock out VIDEO

BANDS OFF just to get an extra set in

585 x 1 came up like nothing very easy VIDEO

    Back raises-
24lb bell at chest x 10 with 10 sec hold on last 4 sets of 10
    BW x 20 with 20 sec hold

Switched my days around so I can spend weekends with the GF.....working half days Saturdays till Jan.

First time training while felling fresh in a while and it made it more fun!

585+200 flew up but I just could not lock it out....next time.

585 straight weight was nothing so Im really happy with it.....felt like 450-500 tops and I was not even trying hard, more just doing it for fun.

    Really fun day!

May need a new suit soon, it just seems to get looser each week even though Im putting weight on.

Question for you and every one else. When pulling from a deficit, is it just harder because of the additional ROM you have to travel to pull the bar? What exactly is going on here?

EASY pull. Love watching that belt go flying after the lift. Muhaha. Perhaps one day I will invest in a lever.

Pulling from a deficit is a little bit harder then from the floor. Some people have a problem getting into a good pulling position. I find it alittle harder, because of the ROM. But also because I have to focus more on pulling with my legs first so I don't do it stiff legged. This lift is a great tool for building power and speed from the floor. I don't do them that often, especially since I got injured but after my meet in November I plan on hitting them hard.

Can be harder for many reasons.

For me they are harder because I am weaker in the lower body than the back and also because I find it hard to get in a good start position and keep belly 100% full of air.

For others it is because they are hard on the grip so by the time you get to the top the bar has rolled into your finger tips and your lock-out is super slow.

Due to leverage different heights make things weird eg: I can pull more (in gear) from 4" blocks than 7.5" blocks......this is due to generating speed which is harder from high blocks.

    Hope that helps bro!

The straight-arm pulldowns is an excellent movement, good deal on those dude.
