Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Thank you John very much, felt good to be in the gym and the lowerback work is a must for me as this is my biggest weakness in the deadlift.

Barracho, yep was a bit for me and I feel it was productive, thank you!!

    Appreciate it a lot Phillip!!

Thanks Coke and Tank-deload to reload!!

    Speed lower/ forced de-load

    Speed pull conv-
135 x1 bad idea at this point

    Back raises-
Bw x40 with 5 sec hold at top of last rep
    36lb bell at chest x12
    36lb bell at chest x12
    36lb bell at chest x10
    Wicked pump

    Shrugs-
    Mixed grip
    225 x4
    315 x4
    365 x4
    405 x4
    455 x4
    505 x4/ 315 x10 drop set
225 x12 super strict with 3 sec pause at top of all reps
    Overhand grip
    135 x20 x3 sets
    45 x20
No straps all sets, 505 is 10lb PR

    Pull throughs-
    110 x10
    110 x10
    110 x10

    Side bends-
    36lb bell x12 each side
    36lb bell x12 each side

Happy to get some weight in my hands at least, the action of pulling from the floor was not safe but most other stuff was no problem.

Really looking forward to being able to lift, I like assistance work but it's pretty boring on it's own.

Great work lately Nick! I know it sucks to deload, but it will pay off in the long run and it will help you heal up faster! Keep up the good work!

Sorry if I missed it mate, but are you injured (apart form elbows). Just with you mentioning the forced deload?

Training looks tight anyway mate. Fair play for training round the problem!

    That's a ton of volume for a deload. You're a beast man

Haha, ya man that's not really much of a deload I don't think....there's some 500+ lb. lifts, and a s*** ton of volume in there.....

But hey, if that's a deload to you, props to ya brotha!!!

    Thank you very much everyone!!

My oblique is getting better at about 5-10% per day, the shrugs don't take all that much out of my cns so I can hit em pretty hard and still feel like Ive had a fairly easy day compared for example to heavy deficit pulls which take way more out of me.

I am proud to be part of this forum and really pleased I was told about it!!

    Back raises-
    15
    15
    15

    Seated close grip press-
    45 x7
    135 x3
    185 x3
    205 x10
    135 x3 x5 speed reps super fast
    155 x3 speed reps

Med grip standing cable pulls (foot against upright)-
    100 x12
    150 x6
240 x20 this is 8 rep PR with same form, no idea how but was pleased

    Chuck rows-
    30 x8
    50 x8
    70 x8
    90 x8
    100 x8

Some type of strict row with stretch and 6 sec eccentric-
    80 x10

    Strict concentration curls-
    30 x18

    Wrist curls-
    30 x20

Loving the waxy maize with x-tend.

Borracho, yeah the plan is to hit the biceps peak and build height with the con curls (strict with a squeeze at the top) ha ha.

Gatorman, please let me know your thoughts on it!!

So far so good Coke, have not felt drained during training and after since I have used it.

Thanks John, all good now so thats cool!!

    Thanks Phillip!!

    Max lower (kind of)

    Deadlift speed and technique work-
    135 x2
    225 x2
    295 x2
    315 x1
Add king pro deadlifter straps down
    315 x1
    365 x1
    365 x1
    Straps up super loose
    365 x1
    Add belt
365 no go could not get down to bar
    Straps down belt on
365 no go still no chance at getting down to bar
    Straps up loose, no belt
    405 x1 easy
    405 x1 easy

    Rack pull quad mini-
    45 x2
    135 x2
    225 x1
    275 x1
    315 x1
365 x1 smashed and weak by this point
    225 x5 speed reps

    Shrugs-
    315 x4
    365 x4
    405 x4
    455 x4
    505 x4
    545 x4 40lb PR/ 405 x8/ 45 plate each hand x 30 drop set
    225 x 12
    135 x10 x3
    45 x10
    No straps all sets

    Back raises-
    20

    Side bends-
    26lb bell x15 per side

Lots of work to do learning to get to the bar with the suit on, with belt on and straps down I could not touch bar at all.
Love the suit and can't wait to work it out as I know it will pop the weight up big time with all that tension.

    Rack pulls were terrible.

    Shrugs were awesome.

This session was the biggest **** around I have had in a long time but I was prepared for that.

Long winded log this time but I thought I should list it all out.

You have to work on the suit to use it. Got a little of everything in today. The shrugs were awesome and the workout was a good one.

Good work Nick! That is a ton of work. Regarding xtend, I'm on my second tub right now and I really like it. I took 2 scoops pre and post workout and think it has really helped with recovery. How are you liking it?
