The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Comp stance off 1.25" mats against monster minis (80Lb)-
    135 + bands x 2
    225 + bands x 1
    315 + bands x 1
    405 + bands x 1
    Add suit
    495 + bands x 1 fast
    545 + bands x 1 fast
    585 + bands x 1 fast VIDEO
Did some stretching hear and unfortunatley pinged my back, had to stop, should be ok in 2-3 days

Raw rack pull from knees no straps no chalk
    315 x 5
    405 x 5
    495 x 5
    585 x 5
    These kinda hurt my back

Smashed, had a bad belly been stuck on toilet all day and had a headache so this was a punish.

Good news is 585 plus monsters was a joke.

Thanks BC!! Watching the video it looked easy ha ha, just felt like I was not burnt out like I often am so Im sure if I was not sick it would have really be a good day.....a little pissed at pinging the back but it should be ok very soon.

Thanks Tank!! Yeah I dont mind looking at girls though, maybe Jennifer Conelly!

Thanks Garage Lifter!! Glad you noticed, it was hard work putting the weights away I was SMASHED by the end and feeling out of it.

Thanks Hayden!! Not easy but yeah not hard either, I feel I am right on the door step of 700 using a deadlift bar but at the end of the day 640 is my best to date so ill just keep working and doing what I know works for me personally.
800 is a real deadlift anyway.

Thanks Rob!! Speed is awesome once you work it I find its easy to keep, another good thing about being fast is your lifts are less taxing to the CNS so you dont need like 15 days between heavy pulls.

    Thanks Mark and Tom!!!!!

Guys I want you all to try rack pulls against 2 sets of quaded minis!! Try it I want to see how everyone goes......135 is pretty heavy ha ha.

Upper back day........this day has evolved into an upper type day with stretching and it is working a charm in the overall picture.

    Seated rows-
    100 x 15
    160 x 15 x 4 sets

    Side raises-
    15s x 12 x 7 sets

    Front raises-
    15s x 12 x 4 sets

    Barbell curls-
    85 x 12 x 2 sets

    Reverse barbell curls-
    85 x 12
    85 x 15

Good day, lowerback is still very tight but will be ok soon.

Assistance/ weakness lower day on Monday so I should be fresh for some squats and conventional speed pulls with 225 + 120 for 6 doubles.

That's "lightweight", for you anyways in the previous effort - not surprised, lol...solid work for the upper body too.

Thanks Coke!! Not light ha ha just not max type weights.

Hayden, it means 4 mini bands, 2 each side but they are quaded not doubled. Each set is 220lb so total is 440 just in bands.
I did 405 + 440 and it was the hardest grip and back thing I have ever done, my lats were sore for a week.

Tom, I would go for these if you get some because they are the original meaning you will be able to compare with other guys on here doing band lifts and know the approx tensions, the sizes are the same as everyone around the world is using.
    http://www.undergroundelite.com.au/R...ce-Band-Pairs/

I have been thinking about bringing up the volume of my back raises again, maybe go for 100 total reps with weight each assistance day.
Back raises have been very good to me but I think pushing the volume up a lot rather than trying to increase ressistance will do me good and really build the area up.

That's a lot of band weight! I wouldn't be on much more than the bar, may have to get some more bands at some stage to try it!

I highly recommend bands bro, highly!

Many said I use bands too much and that it wouldnt help my floor pulls, wonder if they will keep saying it lol.

Quaded micro mini band rack pulls will be a good start, then minis, then monster minis which are 250 on their own quaded.

Never even done rack pulls before, how do you rate them on there own? An where's the best height to start? (don't mean to hijack your training log!)
