The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Ha ha I love taliking shop!

If there is a gap between bottom posts and floor and rack is bolted down then quad them under the posts.

If not you need to quad them under heavy dumbells, 110s will not hold them down at all even though in therory the minis are 110lb per side, you need to put a couple of plates on the dumbells to hold them like in my vid.

They will not replace pulls but when mixed in they are fantastic and build your grip very fast.

Rack pull height really depends. I always saw this as an impartial to help build sticking points like the way board pressing does. A lot pull from knees, but you really could start anywhere tbh and work your way down.

Tom, I would go for these if you get some because they are the original meaning you will be able to compare with other guys on here doing band lifts and know the approx tensions, the sizes are the same as everyone around the world is using.

Cheers man. What size(s) would you recommend getting?

Thanks guys!!!!! Have to answer when back home.

    Sumo from 3" deficit-
    135 x 5
    225 x 5
    315 x 5
    365 x 5
    405 x 5

11" box squat raw shoulder width stance-
    45 x 10
    135 x 6
    185 x 6
    225 x 6
    275 x 6

Back raises 23lb ball at chin-
    15
    15
    15
    15
    10
    10
    10
    10
10 did one extra set than was meant to

    Calve raises-
    25

Stick with how I was training, rep work sumo sucks because it fucks your form, westside rules!

I like to grip and rip exploding up and back, not do gay controlled reps.

Did really enjoy the squats and back raises though.

    BW 220.

1 point VICTORY to the All Blacks.

Tom, I would get a pair of micro minis, mini bands and light (purple bands) to start.

Hit me up for things you can do but so you know they can be used for everything ha ha.

Yeah!!! World Cup is finally ours! First time since I've been alive we have won it! Absolutely stoked Nick!!

I like your point, agree that rep work can ruin form on deads. Lower reps allows higher focus on it.

    Thanks Guys!!!!!

Yeah Hayden NZ wins in a close won........we were never going to loose.

I do not like anything touch and go sumo at all, reset reps is fine but singles are king. Its the start and how you finish not the lowering.

Going to pull mid shin against quad minis conventional as planned on thursday with a target of well over 400+220 which was me PR a long time ago when I did that exact movement..........wish me luck boys!

BW sitting on 220 no probs now, by night Im 224 but I am fat so its not the best weight ha ha.

Hey Rob not sure what you mean? When you set the mini bands up for deadlift you need to place the dumbells jst far enough apart that there is some tension from the very start.....with minis it will be approx 50lb if you do it like in my vids.

Monster minis approx 80lb, purples 120, greens 200.

For you I would not use greens just yet other than perhaps for some fun on a speed day, the rest will be good but I think monsters would suit you for both speed and max pulls.

They are cheap so maybe buy a few pairs.

Quaded mini rack pulls are 220 and monsters 250+.

    Hope that helps?

    Congrats on the PR brother!

    Thanks Gentleman!!

Tom you are correct in your assumption, all I know is I get 200-250 grams protein in per day.

I eat a fair amount and drink lots of milk and water, I have been drinking 3 liters milk per day for 18 years and no that is not a joke.
