It's certainly tough training when you're not getting enough sleep. Nothing wrong with that session though bro.

Thanks BC, yeah feet forward makes lock-out easy but makes getting to the bar harder in gear so the straps need to be a little looser, this of course means less pop off floor. Not a drama for those strong off floor.

Thanks Coke, itchinnnnnnnnnng to get back in the gym but I need a quick rest.

    Thanks Tom, appreciate it.

Thanks April, cant wait. My personal email is brownsonnick@yahoo.com.au thank you.

Thanks Borracho, yeah that last one was pretty high volume lol.

BW 222........aiming at 228 this weekend for a PR.

Special mention to Gazzy who lost his Mum, Gazzy you are a great guy and I wish you all the best dealing with this huge tragedy.

I was moved reading your Mum was so young and I am tearing up a little here, very sad bro.

I am here to talk hours of training talk which I know you love so please hit me up with any questions or anything at all we can discuss if you feel like getting into the training world and away from everything going on right now.

Thinking of you and your family bro.

3 heavy deadlift days this week........smashed but learning.

Haulin Steel...........bit of this bit of that

    Deadlift sumo-
    Wide stance
    135 x 2
    225 x 1
    315 x 1
    405 x 1 x 2
    Add suit
    405 x 1 x 3 wide VIDEO
    405 x 1 x 3 new closer stance
    455 x 1 wide
    455 x 1 new
    500 x 3 wide VIDEO
    500 x 3 new VIDEO

Everything felt heavier than normal due to all the pulling this week (lowerback smashed), just trying to see what stance is best in gear.

    Back raises-
    25

    Curls-
    3 x 12

    Wrist curls-
    8 x 12

    Reverse wrist curls-
    5 x 12

Done, no speed or strength today for obvious reasons.

The main points are wider you can reach the bar easier in gear but balance is an issue, closer the lock-out is easier and more stable but reaching the bar is a total fucking bitch making you a little slow off the floor.

Raw, closer wins no question but Im undecided in gear.

    Rest,food and water.

Solid pulling as always, Nick. Closer stance looked superior in my opinion.

    Thanks for the input bro!!

Considering I was smashed by that last set and it actually felt easier Id say I agree, the only reason Im not sure is rep work is not the same as singles and you will see the first was a little slow but that could be from finding the groove after being wider so all in all I may be stronger closer.

I got a PR with the closer the other day its just I find it VERY hard to reach the bar closer (straps were fairly loose in the vids), more form work to be done.

Blood flow work for my beat down back lol.

Straight arm pulldowns (one handle per arm)-
    90 x 15 x 5 sets

    Facepulls using ab straps-
    90 x 15 x 2 sets

    10 mins stretching.

    This was all I needed.

April has been kind enough to write me upper a program to bring up my lagging barbell row strength, no better person to ask when you consider she is the number female raw lifter in the world and rows well over 450lb for reps.

I honestly can only row (very strict) around 275 x 5 so I must have a major weakness there which needs some real effort.

Program goes for 16 weeks and then you can just repeat with more weight next time, one week is heavy the next lighter so as to not negativley effect your pulling which I think is great.

The rows start at just below knees and you end up rowing from the floor in mini cycles, thats all ill say.

If anyone else is interested in a routine just contact April, I recommend you do.

Solid work Nick. Looking strong in the vids.

Sleep deprivation is a lift killer. No doubt about it. I am glad my two sons now both sleep all night, lol.

Thanks guys really appreciate it!! Work is chaos again so when I return from the U.S I will find a new job, they are pushing me too hard and I swore at a couple of guys today and told them to do their own fucking work which scared a few people. So it may be best to move on.

    Deload day.

    Barbell curls yeah-
    45 x 12
    65 x 10
    85 x 8
    105 x 6
    115 x 6
    125 x 5
    135 x 3 PR
    65 x 10 x 5 sets very short rests

    Forearm leveraging-
    10lb on 14" bar x 10 x 5 sets very short rests

    Reverse curls-
    65 x 20

Always wanted to curl 135, reps were not perfect but not too ugly.

Back full swing Thursday on back day (Aprils routine) so these arms better heal up quick ha ha.

    Thanks for checking in.

Ha ha Coke my arms are shit.

Very fun actually pushing the curls for once, as a younger guy I thought youd need to be superman to curl 135 lol.

My quads and hams grow pretty easy, same as pecs and forearms..........biceps worst body part no question.

    Thanks guys!!!!!

Thanks guys, back into it next week full swing next week.

Haulin Steel............just wanted to pull some weight.

    Sumo off 7.5" blocks

    135 x 5 floor
    225 x 2
    315 x 2
    405 x 2
    495 x 2
    Add suit loose straps
    585 x 2
    635 x 2
675 x miss (forearms are SORE from the 30 sets this week, grip was shot lol)
    Focus
    695 x 2..........easy weight VIDEO

16" deficit blob SLDL (thanks Tank)-
    88lb x 12 x 2 sets big hang pause on each rep

    Hamstring curls seated-
    60 x 15
    80 x 15
    100 x 12
    120 x 12

    Calve raises-
    4 sets of 15

Hands would not stayed closed which was pretty funny as I was not expecting it, I guess 30+ sets of wrist curls will do that.

    725 x 2 next week.

Kept volume low as this week has been a deload week which I needed, feel good now.

    Video

Looked harder than what it was......left hand was wanting to open.
