The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Thanks gentleman!!!!!

It has been a massive last 5 weeks. New job since Monday, trip around the U.S and I have been sick for 3 weeks.

Lost weight, went down to 215 now im back to 219.

Girlfriend had her drink spiked in New York, won't go in into the scary as shit details too much. She had to be taken in a strecther to the ambulance and we spent the night in Bellvue emergancy ward. I watched an obese lady have a heart attack and some other things.
    Big 48 hours that was.

Anyway after all that I joined my new gym which is 80 meters from my front door.....seriously 80 meters and open 24 hours.

    Train.

Rack pulls from knees against quadded minis (220lb)-
    135 + bands x 3
    225 + bands x 1
    315 + bands x 1
    405 + bands x 1
    495 + bands x 1
545 + bands x 1 this was easy and close to my PR yeah boy
    Explosive reps
    405 + bands x 2
    405 + bands x 2
    405 + bands x 2

    Back raises-
15 with 10 sec hold on last
12 with 10 sec hold on last
12 with 10 sec hold on last
12 with 10 sec hold on last

    Heavy ab work-
    7 sets of 10-12

Really could not be more happy boys, I should hit 600 + quad minis soon from knees.

Be doing a ton of stretching as I noticed just how bad I had let my flexibility get while I was away.

    RIP SHIT UP!!

Welcome to New York City, the land of Chloraform and date rape. Sorry to hear you guys had to go through that. You really have to be protective of your drink. It happens pretty frequently. Hopefully the rest of the trip was a great experience.
Massive rack pulls dude. Hell of a pr. Glad to hear you found a convenient gym too. Makes a big difference.

Vacation getaways are great and all, but there's no place like home.

Any gym would be lucky to have you, good deal on breaking the new place in.

Good that you enjoyed most of your trip. If you ever happen to get to use a cambered bench bar try that for shrugs both in front and behind. That has become my favorite one to use.

Hey Nick! Glad you had a good time in the US, despite the drama.

Hope the new gym works out for you! There's a gym only about 100yard from my front door too, big one with a swimming pool. Unfortunately, they have no bench or rack.

Great work on the PR, surprise ones are the best lol.

Thanks BC!! One day he he.

Thanks Coke!! Yeah the trap bar is pretty cool for shrugs.

Thanks Hayden!! Yeah my traps have grown the last two years bit still not good.

    Thanks April!! Damn great idea!

Thanks Gazzy!! Another one just now bro.

Thanks Luna!! Always great to have you check in!

    23 April...........upper back

    Barbell shrugs-
    DOH up to 275 x 15

    Seated rows close grip-
Up to 130 x 10 (was hurting forearm so stopped at 130)

    DB shrugs-
    90s x 12 x 4

    Snatch grip shrugs-
    185 x 10 x 3

    Wide pulldowns-
    Up to 180 x 8

    Wide pulldowns behind head-
    120 x 10 x 4

    Ultra wide pulldowns standing-
    90 x 10 x 3

    Rear delt machine-
    80 x 8 x 5

Nice pump up other than right forearm pain.

    Tonight 24 April.............Haulin Steel

Rack pull from knees (raw of course) against 2 sets of quad minis (220+220 bands )
    45 + bands x 2
    135 + bands x 1
    225 + bands x 1
    315 + bands x 2 very hard fell forward on 1st
365 + bands x 1 great rep, pulled back hard
    410 + bands x 1 5lb PR held at top 3 sec.......most weight ever in my hands!

    Abs-
    2 heavy sets 25,20

BTW my new gym will make it hard to deadlift as much as I want to due to no space until around 9pm, means I just do them when I can or do rack pulls......have to make do.

Congrats on the new job Nick! Sucks about the gf in NY...I hate when the gf grabs a drink with her girls after work for fear of the same thing happening but me not being there to take care of her.

Anyway, looks like you're still strong as ever...I do still lurk here occasionally...just havent posted. You planning on posting some pics of the trip??
