    BTW i had the damn levels wrong on the vulcan, i was 3 levels. My 18 is actually 15 which makes sense since the handles are so wide making the start harder.

    Yeah I saw that today, my best negative (hold closed one handed) is level 15 which feels as hard as the 3.

    Hands are smashed today and need some rest........hitting the gym tomorrow yay!

    Hey Gaz! No, please understand crushing strength will not help your pulls.

    It will help your bench along with all upperbody work.

    Deadlift grip is very different.

    Grippers...........was meant to be a very heavy hard day but my hands are beat up, left is real tired.

    Captains of crush grippers-
    #T x 3 each hand
    #1 x 1 each hand
    #1.5 x 3 each hand
    Right
    #2.5 x 5 with overcrush on last, #3 x 4mm off close then hold closed (negative) 5 sec, #3 x 8mm off, #1 x 52 reps PR.
    Left
    #2.5 x 1 + 4 to 2mm off, #3 x jack shit, #1 x 33.

    Thats all, not bad...not good either.

    The #3 is very stout however I will close it at some point no question at all.

    Squats later, BW 210......going down to 204 for wedding.

    Tank, you pinch the plate 5/10/25/35/45 whatever with fingers under, thumb on top and curl it with wrist fairly straight......hit the wrist and forearm very hard and also the fingers, thumb, palm and biceps. Great band for buck go to movement for lower arms.

    Gazzy, nothing to do with deadlifts just to get strong hands. Grip was a strong point when I was a teenager I used to do lots of pinch grips in the garage. When I started powerlifting it was to get strong not to get into a sport howerever I feel I missed some good work on the hands and wrists due to it not having much carryover, now I want to be strong all round. Weak hands are for girls. And yeah it is real fun bro!

    Not full max effort, im on low cals and get tired quicker than usual.

    I think a huge part of closing the big grippers is wrist strength, I plan on building a real good set of wrists over the next few years.
    Thumb strength too but mine are ahead of the rest of the hand/wrist so not a priority for me.
    Really looking forward to working hard on this stuff and reporting my findings which may be helpful to my fellow lifters.
