    Hey Tom, yep ive had mine rated. They rate using a 3/4" strap right at the ends of handles.....Captains way of rating is by testing the pressure/force in the middle which is of course more.

    When you close a gripper most of the force goes just below the center, not at the bottom only but not in the center.

    In the grip world they just go off the bottom even though the rating is less than what the actuall required force is.....this is just so they have a way of comparing grippers.

    A 3 rated at 140 is a little easy and 160 is very stout......mine are 152 and 159. The average #3 is 150.

    Thanks Hayden, my best left hand is #2.5 full rom and #3 i got 4mm off closing.....my technique is less hit and miss now so wont be long.

    Left hand vulcan v2 is level 13 from memory.

    Hey Tank, yep sure do. I like pinch gripping, leveraging etc. my pinch is fairly strong and i think that helps with the grippers. My general arm strength needs to come up though for what i have planned
