The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Thanks Marcus!! Glad you dropped by.

Thanks John!! I was a little surprised as I never really do them heavy, no better way to work the lower back IMO.

Thanks Coke!! Core is still weak but progressing pretty well so I am pleased.

Thanks Tank!! You doing the 500+ suspended G.Ms for reps got me wanting to go heavy for a change, really liked it but **** they are hard on the lower back and that's an area I really need work.

    Band G.Ms-
    Green x20
    Green x20

    Swiss ball abs-
    20
    20

Back is pretty tight so this plus a couple of contrast showers and ill be good to go!

Great work Nick! That is awesome work with the GMs and I'm liking all the core work you are doing. I've definitely tried to add more in the past month or so.

Thanks Gatorman!! I can tell my abs are getting strong but I still think my obliques are weak.

Really looking forward to Sunday max lower, going to do some heavy rep work on both deads and G.Ms...............next 8 weeks are pretty well planned out as far as movement selection.

Going though everyones logs has been great lately, lots of progress with you guys and plans working out!!

That guy was a running joke in my forum a few months back. Supposedly he was a successful powerlifter though. He has one vid where he puts a "magic tape" on his back.

Nice squats of the box. Shifting a lot of weight on your speed work mate. Fantastic.

You holding around the 220 mark is great, especially the way you carry it - that's solid.

Thanks Flynn!! Was nice to work up a little in weight, really liked that workout overall.

Thanks Borracho!! Interesting thing is I have only been doing speed squats and nothing heavy yet 405 felt pretty light, I really think working up till your speed slows down is a good idea on speed work.

Thanks John!! Ready for Friday seated press.

Thanks Tank!! Was a fun day, staying very tight the whole way now on squats.

Thanks Coke!! My weight is up and down but I would like to be lean at 225 so thats my goal at this point.

Thanks Bri!! I will test my raw parallel box this Sunday after I do some pulling and let you know, not sure how much as the parallel box is hard for me lol.

Thanks Phillip!! Love the speed work.

Thanks Gatorman, have to train Thursday and Saturday this week.

    Shoulders and abs-

Seated close grip press against mini bands (40lbtension)
    45 x6
    45 x3
    135 x3
    185 x3
220 x3 PR hurt neck nothing bad
    175 x3
    175 x10

    Dumbell side bends-
    80 x10 per side
    110 x10 per side

    Bell side bends-
    60 x20 per side
    60 x10 per side
    60 x10 per side

    Mega band abs-
    Two minis x15
Static hold of 3 sec on each rep

This is all I could do as neck was making everything way harder than normal, thought it best to finish before making it worse.

Some blond girl came and joined me for the side bends so I did an extra set.

The shoulder press was solid today.
