The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Thank you Tank!! Making progress and learning along the way.

Thank you John!! I am always reminded of you when Eye of the Tiger plays bro!

Thank you Garage Lifter!! Getting closer to a good deadlift.

Thank you Steve!! The halting pulls have helped already I am positive so they are staying in.

Thank you Thomas!! Most Ive locked out is 745 con for 6 seconds (315+440 in 2 sets of doubled minis) awesome tension at top and I think I can smash that now, trick is to shave your callouses off each and every week.
Maybe we should all do a lock-out type test sometime, cant hurt.

Thank you Coke!! Feeling good about my plan brother.

Thank you Brian!! I go 50/50 with old pros and the boss, both are good but I cant really tell a difference yet, perhaps the boss "feel better" but the weights are the same.

Can't argue with the results Nick! You seem to have an uncanny ability to learn from others, but at the same time discard what is seen as gospel in the lifting community if it doesn't work for you. I know you have to work around some injuries as well. That song is just perfect for lifting, boxing, and stuff like that. Supposedly Sylvester Stallone was strugglng to make it when he wrote the Rocky script. The studio made a substantial offer for the rights and wanted their own actor. They had a problem making the film with an unproven that didn't speak well. He held firm and insisted he would be Rocky and keep the property rights. The rest is history. Rising up . Hope you feel better bud.

Excellent work on the PR Nick, especially with the DOH grip. Between all the heavy reverse band work and the halting pulls, I can't wait to see how your competition deadlift improves. Plenty of good ab work in there too.

With all this pulling/squatting I sorta forgot your OHP strength...what happened there? I cant recall the last time I saw a shoulder workout. Forgive me if I am wrong...just came to me that you were putting up ridiculous amounts of weight (and volume) over head and wondered what the deal is.

Thanks Steve!! Yep I need to hit abs like I used to. I should film the mega band abs I got from Ano T.

Thanks Borracho!! A while back I un-racked (not walked out) 965 and something in my left shoulder crunched, since then I have had to rest it but should be ready to shoulder press again from Friday.

Thanks Tank!! They hurt my glutes big time, going to keep them in after heavy deads but not give them there own day now that the weights are up a little higher.

Thanks John!! Was a pretty good day for me, abs need more work to match my back work now.

Solid recovery day. I couldn't agree more about building work capacity, sounds like your doing what needs to be done. I am interested in the mega band abs, I saw your post in Rob's journal about how to do them, I'm going to add them in this week.

Let me know what you think, I can only do a green for about 5-7 pause reps that's how hard they are.

Nearly 700lbs on the bar with the reverse band pulls...Nice work Nick. Must feel like death at the top, lol.
This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy - George Bernard Shaw
