Saw a study yesterday that showed that 222 LBS was the optimum weight for moving (Talking) bodybuilders out of the squat rack.

    Interesting thought.

222 lbs. huh? That's pretty good man. You're in a hella lot better shape then I was back when I was 220. I was much fatter then you are at that weight. I like my weight where it's at now, but of course that makes getting ridiculously strong a challenge. Your bw to strength ratio is insane!!! Good work as always, and heal up quick so you can get back to SFW!!!

Well it seems once again more volume and effort on the main lifts/ less on assistance work is better for me.

I have been nailing the assistance work and hitting PRs there but my pull has stalled, a while back when I started doing plenty of squatting and G.Ms and not much else for lower body my squat went up every week, then I copied the guys at westside and it stalled.

Same with my bench, when I started heaps of bench work and a small amount of assistance it went up nearly every week for months and months.

Could just be because Ive been dealing with different injuries but I don't think so, I feel stronger but I just cant get t to translate right now.

Sumo against 2 sets of minis off 6" blocks-
    Comp stance raw
    135 x3
    225 x3
    315 + bands x1
    405 + bands x1
    Add briefs and belt
    495 + bands x1
585 + bands x1 grip is stronger than ever
    635 + bands x miss.......would have been 10lb PR......moved only 1"..........not strong enough.........gave it everything..........I really wanted this

SLDL off 4" deficit doh beltless-
    135 x5
    185 x5
    225 x5
    Off floor, mixed grip
    315 x5

Very tired and wet it is HUMID here

    T bar rows light-
    1 plate x8
    2 plates x8
    3 plates x8
    4 plates x8

    Seated calves-
Lots of work in the 8 rep range then a drop set of 6/6/6/8/25/35 this was my best set ever

    Standing calves-
Lots of sets of 6 best ever on final set

Positives: grip is nice and strong, core feeling strong, calves are stronger than ever, injuries are almost sorted

Negatives: mostly just getting sick of carrying injuries, they are minor but have been going on for a fair while

I know we can't hit PRs all the time my my pull has been feeling off for a while and Im stuck at my PRs from those last videos.

Just remembered my deficit PR, must just be stuck on singles off the blocks.

    Easily solved!

You still got some good work in Nick! And you've already proven in the past, that you'll get the deadlift figured out and start hitting PRs again.

Still a lot of good hard work in that session and more importantly, you're making the needed tweaks. I've found the same to be true for me, assistance has to be treated as assistance, if I keep the main focus on the competition lifts, I just do better. I like the increased neurological efficiency and form improvement from all the reps with the main lifts. Glad your grip is still strong and sounds like your plan is solid. You're no joke Nick, just huge workloads from you.

Lots of good stuff in the few days I've missed. Big pressing the other day. Don't sweat the pulls too much. You'll work that out. Funny stuff with the bodybuilders. Those kind are tough to take.

Your pulling work is the exception no matter what, no doubt you will be raising up again with it all.

    Great pressing back there mate.

YOU dont need to worry a wee miss. You'll literally pick it up tomorrow. Strong pulls as usual.

Funny you say that about the BBers. I witnessed two 120lb emos debating over different brands of whey today. Equally sad.

120lb Emos lol, "yeah...so...um...which whey will digest quickest?"

Thanks for the support everyone, I truly appreciate it!!

Neck/trap has been bad for a couple of days and I found on my trap what looks like a scar from the skin rupturing of something........strange.

I just need some higher volume rep work on the pulls, now my hand is sorted I can do some heavy 3-7s which will be great after all the singles Ive done the last month or two.

Going to hit back raises twice a week as it has made seperating the weights from the blocks way easier (used to be my weak point) and Im much tighter at the start, I know its from the back raises!

Very keen to do some high volume pulls!

Thanks again for the support and advice!

I like back raises also. I think that back raises hit me more in my hamstrings and glutes then GHR's do. But I still work both of them since they both serve a purpose.

Lats day (yes its back I miss it too much).

    Wide grip pulldowns-
    40 x10
    120 x10
    170 x18
40 x10 x10 sets 1 min rest between sets here
50 x260 PR that is not a typo, at 170 my left hand and biceps started to seize up

    Curls-
    10
    12
    15

Jacked, love this **** my forearms were 14" after this which good.....16 would be cool.

Back to doing lats the day after pulling, it serves me well.
