    Extra max effort deadlift day (bad day at work and wanted a PR).

    Ultra wide stance raw deficit speed pulls sumo against two sets of minis (I think the tension is more than the 65lb Ive been calling it)
    1.25" deficit for all sets
    135 + bands x2
    225 + bands x1
    275 + bands x1
    315 + bands x1
    ADD BELT
    365 + bands x1
    ADD CHALK
    405 + bands x1 PR
    415 + bands x1 PR with VIDEO

    SLDL 1.25" deficit against 2 sets minis-
    135 x10 really cool with bands on

    Swiss ball abs-
    20 with static holds

    Back raises with 23lb ball at chin-
    15 left heaps in the tank to save lowerback for friday

    Swim for 15 mins



    Awesome to get some PRs on a cheecky extra day, 415 I let the hips raise too soon and had to muscle it up but Im still pleased.

    Strength of floor is steadily coming up!

    Ultra wides are very tough as a max effort movement!
    Squat briefs only 625 @ 210
    Bench geared 525 @ 210
    Deadlift geared 650 @ 220

    "Extra" max effort deadlift day... I love it... man every time I check your journal you are doing some crazy ass heavy stuff. lol Awesome PR from a deficit.... Love the video and love the fact that your response to having a bad day is to smash a PR!

    Wow. Awesome pulling. How do you set up the mini bands with the deadlift? Only time I ever deadlift with bands is when I stand on the two bands and choke them around the bar.

    NM, see the video image now. I'm at work and we have YouTube blocked. But the image just showed.

    Do you put small plates in front of the DBs to prevent rolling?

    Good job on the PR Nick!!! That is a ultra wide stance, lol. It's got to be hard to drop your hips low in that position.

    Those Extra ME days are always terrible lol. Kind of like how Spinal Taps amps go to 11.

    A quadded mini pulled out to the distance of your base is about 220 at the top. I'm assuming you based 55 lbs off the fact you singled them? That looks like at least 100 lbs.

    Thanks Steve!! Yeah I am pleased with any type of deficit PR as that is my weak point, the wide stance just kills!
    Ready for more........way more.

    Thanks Kosh!! Yep just put 25s face down and use 70lb bells and it will be good to go, takes a little while to get it right but its worth it, just make sure there is tension at the start.

    Thanks Garage Lifter!! The 405 was good but I stuffed the 415 up, still not too bad I guess, cheers bro.

    Thanks Tank!! Very hard for me to get hips low so its prob better for speed pulls than max effort, next time i'll nail 435 though.

    Thanks B&T!! Nice! Yep I think they are about 100 but when I called them 65 and greens 220 some people got all upity and said there is no way its that much tension ha ha..........anyway we both no 2 sets of minis singled is more than 65lb lol!

    Facepulls-
    80 x15

    Kettlebell hammers-
    23lb bell x12 pretty stict

    No idea why my high rep pulldowns have doubled in reps, 75 x30-40 reps was hard before.

    2 weeks of feeling nice and loose,must be the "Peacocks"...
