    325x2
    415x2x3set
Back hurts when i unrack and stand up with weight. not so much durning the rep. But I definetely felt it and almost hurt it more on second set.

    sumo deads
    225x1
    315x1
    405x1
    495x2
    585x1
    635x0 conv.
pulled the 635 to knee and felt the back so dropped weight. I didnt want to push it.
the 585 sumo was a struggle but didnt hurt the back. i grinded right thru it.

Felt good to train today, but i was scared the whole day. and paying the price now. Icing back now. Tomorrow will be the telling tale I guess.

Well woke up this morning with some soreness and took awhile to stand up straight but I have to admit not much worse than any other day lately. Not sure what I'm going to do but at least I know I can still train to some point.
Looking forward to tomorrow night bench. I will be taking opener and if that goes well I usually like to hit something near a second attempt to a 1 Brd.

I was 3 weeks out and supposed to hit opener tonite. Pissed now scrambling not sure whats going to happen or what direction to go in.

Thanks Hopp, getting close to that 500.
I know a lot of bad things have happened larly but I'm trying to stay positive. I have had an eye opening last 20 hours. About how helpful and close knit powerlifting world really is. Big Tone has helped me soo much. He talked to Gene R. To see if he has anything laying around. He talked to Vinny D and he was extremely helpful. I reached out to Travis Bell and he offered some helpful info and Jo Jordan also took time to answer a few messages. So cool, power lifters really are down to earth and always willing to take time out to help others.
Hopefully I will have it figured out and know what direction to head in a few days.

Well today someone brought me a shirt to tryout. Me being Me decided to try it today cause i still had hopes of saving this meet. Anyway it was a 56 metal Jacked bench shirt.
Well it's just too big in the chest for me to get any support out of. Shirt was extremely tight around bottom of tri through the elbow but no where else.
    barx5
    135x3
    245x3
    335x1
    445x1
    535x1 (3brd)I
645x1 (3brd) probably could have brought this to chest
    695x1 (1 brd)
695x0 jacked shirt some but all pressure was on elbows and called it.

At this point not really sure what direction to go. I am considering selling all of my gear and just staying raw. but i'm not making a descision yet. I may go raw bench only at paulsboro meet on may 19.
My back is still a mess and i still haven't went for my mri. oh well

Like I said before, I think you should go raw for this meet and hit a PR. Hit an easy opener, go for a small PR on your 2nd and then slap 500 on for your third. Just my .2 cents!!! Have you talked to Tone about it?

Hey Hopp, yeah him and I are both all over the map right now. But i think that will be the plan. My best meet press is 455. I'm sure i'm good for 480-485 now just not sure if that 5 is there yet.
Just frustrated, if ur not sponsered or have and endless supply of money, lifting equipped is impossible. you should always have a backup shirt i guess, but i can barely afford 1 shirt let alone 2. the one i had planned on using for this meet is over 1 1/2 years old. And not sure i want to invest any more money on equippment i'm not sure of. The sdp worked great for me just now that shirt is blowing out on people left and right. and i cant afford that to happen when i need to get over a year out of a shirt.
sorry just frustrated. dont mean to sound like a whiney bi***,

I had to post something just to get rid of the last bs I posted. This has been a very stressful and disappointing period in my life. Last 2 months have been full of different situations testing me. But staying the road and moving forward. Ame Rychlak is fixing my shirt and I will be attempting to hit a meet or 2 in next month. Not sure what road to take after, I have seriously been considering staying raw. I have hit a cross road again.
On positive note, a training partner (Jesse jayne) hit a 2100 in his first equipped meet. He has only been in gear for past 4 months. He gave 1000 squat a run and was not far off.
So big tone was back in bench shirt after long lay off and has missed a beat! Is form is dead on and won't be long til he's back be ch with the bench gods. Maybe he'll get after that 900 something I know he wants!
We hAve so many lifters from our crew doing meets over the next month it's a very exciting time. Being at meets really gets my juices flowing! Our crew is getting stronger and we seem to be picking up a guy or 2 every meet we hit now. So this is a good thing for us.

I'd hate to see you stop lifting in gear, but taking a break might do you some good. I haven't been to a geared meet since the last geared meet I lifted in. I think i'm staying away from them because I know I will get the bug, lol.

OK like I said tired of feeling sorry for myself. talked stuff over with my Doctor and we decided no need for mri and to work around it. So I woke up with a plan. I haven't had constant pain and felt the only pain i was having was tightness and i could deal with that. So i would squat today and stop when or if i felt that pain unracking the weight.

squats raw belt and knee sleeves
    barx5
    145x5
    235x2
    325x1
    415x1
    505x1
    555x1
    605x1
645x0 (2 things. I was loose in hole so spotters took it. I was mad at first cause i thought i was recovered when they took it. but i understand and appreciated what and y they did it.) 2nd thing was i was a lazy ass and squatted in my basketball sneakers instead of chucks and they always throw me forward.

    dead sumo raw
    315x1
    405x1
    495x1
    done.

I have bench only meet next week and didn't want to push my luck any further.Happy i was able to squat again. So still not sure what route i will take but 1 thing at a time

Hey josh thanks man. Yeah I will definetely be doing equipped bench only meet at upa but may also be doing gene's Rps meet. I hurt my back about 6 weeks ago but today felt ok.
Should be a great meet next week. We squat there every week and I like to do that meet when healthy. Not sure what to expect. I haven't been in shirt in about 3 or 4 weeks. But going for broke. Opening with 800

Just went to help team. Though I feel like I have been training my body is sore and tired.
Big congrats to my training partner Drew Patrizzi for his first ever 405 bench! Way over due and will probably be making som big jumps now.
Big thanks to my boy Tone, along with his help I finally have some direction. I'm going to remain raw for August 11th meet. He figured it would give my back more time to heal. Also, raw strength is never bad to build because it will help me when i'm finally healthy enough and finally decide to get back in the gear.
Nothing left to do but relax, eat and heal up until meet saturday. If i can at least get 2 benches in i will be a very happy man

    Yesterday bench only meet

    warm ups
    barx8
    135x5
    225x3
    315x1
    405x1
    495x1 (2 brd)
    shirt on
    585 x1 (3brd)
    675x1 (2 brd)
    745x1 (1 brd)
shirt felt very tight. I have to say and thank Ame Rychlak for the amazing patch work that kept me in the meet.

1st attempt- 805 - took awhile to get weight down. pressed up no problem. not sure what happened or y but - no lift
both side judges said left arm wasn't locked. not many agreed but oh well. Tone and i decided to jump um some weight any way.

2nd attemp-820- on way down something didn't feel right and i told guys to take it.

3rd attempt -820- this again game down slow. i was shakey as hell and wasn't able to stay tight cause back was tight and cramping. but pressed up and tone made me hold it for a second rack command. good lift 3 whites.

here's the 820 hopefully someone has a video of the 805. i would like to see it again.
