Perhaps. We are driving but I think we might store the car in a garage, so it might not be accessible.

oh damn, I know there is the colloseum gym in columbia which is supposedly power lifter friendly http://www.colosseumgym.com/ but I don't know their details for allowing visitor lifters in, also I generally lift at my university gym, UMBC, which is a shot up I95N from DC, i can get you in there for free.

his gym is somewhere there in DC, sounds like you won't have a car and need something very local.
BTW you'll love the gym , you'll find all the usual stuff plus tons of other odd objects, climbing ropes, pull-up bars in all shapes.

from the white house to umbc google says its a 40 minute ride, but thats if you go the speed limit (65mph), during non-rush hour times most people cruise around 80.

Don't know of any gyms in NW DC, I'm sure there's probably a gold's gym around... let me know though, if you're looking for people to come lift with you I'll come. I live in Northern VA, I'm only about 15 min away from Foggy Bottom/GWU
