Well I'm stuck at my current gym for another 6 months...squat rack AND benchless. So SS is pretty much out... The WBB 1.1 caught my eye though i can do almost every work out in it at my gym just have to use the smith machine for the squats and good mornings, I know it sucks but I don't have any other options.
Can I sub BO Rows in place of the seated cable rows/ one armed rows?
Damn, sucks that they don't have a rack of bench, it just shouldn't be allowed.
Why can't you use the smith machine/barbells to do the exercises in Starting Strength though? (might be missing something, I am not overly familuar with the routine)
WBB 1.1 is a great routine though and feel free to switch the rows!

Well on the SS forums if you even mention a Smith Machine Im pretty sure Rip comes to your house and breaks your legs hahahaha. I realize the loss of weight stabalization is a big deal and with a routine such as SS, so focused on those few barbell exercises, it's a pretty big loss.
Which is why WBB 1.1 caught my eye. It has a lot more to its foundation. I only have to do two out of all the work outs on the SM.
Yes I feel like I've been swindled at my gym it's all machines minus all the dumbbells and one olympic bar. I got a discount through work though!! Hahaha oh well I'm only suck for 6 more months!
No routine is real routine if you are not squatting. Id do SS, but use front squats instead. Clean the bar up then squat.
Do OH Pressing instead of Benching too.
A smith machine squat is never acceptable, no matter what routine it is on.

You can also do Floor Presses instead of normal Bench

What is a suitable substitue for Good Mornings for the WBB 1.1 routine then? The GMs are really the only thing I can't do out of this entire routine, my gym has a solid Dumbbell set up and the required machines to do the rest of it.
