The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Longhorn's road to Strengh and mass

This is my journal where I will keep my progress.

    Info about me,
28 years old 5`8 160 Lbs I have done some weight training here and there without knowing a lot. At 18 I was the skinny type (124) but in the last couple of years with better eating like I said I am now at 160. Each time I was training and eating right I was gaining so now with a good program and some consistency I will try to reach 180 and getting stronger along the way. I don't know the number I will reach but I will try to reach my full potential.

I train to feel right and stay healthy too, 2 really important things.

I will do SS for as long as I can its my first step, a good foundation is really important to build on.

My first day: Body weight 160 lbs ( will take my weight once a week)

    Squat: 115 Lbs / 5 5 5

Bench Press: 115 lbs / 5 5 3 (will stay at same weight next training)

    Deadlift: 135 lbs / 5

Keep at it. I had to go to 5lb jumps on squats relatively early as well. Better to be patient than to rush it.

Had to to take some time off cause one of my wrist was not in top shape, nothing serious but by lifting it didn't heal, so had to do one step back to move forward. Now im fine.

I have restart lifting last week and im gonna repost as soon as my next workout. First week was harder, as usual when your not lifting for a while, but now its feeling really good to lift again.

Im doing front squat now instead of low bar back squat, I find front squat more lower back friendly, I can go deeper and find it easier to keep a good form. I just like them better, feels more natural and i can do them with better form, I don't know if using front squat we still can call this SS but anyway its what is working best for me now.

Im waiting for my first pair of lifting shoes too. I have buy some Rogue do-win, I will post my feedback after I receive them and try them.

Have a good day and good lifting!

Thanks, im weighting 162 Lbs now.

So far I go up in weight by slice (I don't know how to say it lol) Like I gain 10 easy in a linear way and after this its slowing before another 10 lbs cycle. So im gonna try to reach 170 somewhere this summer. Still bulking even if summer is coming, im not big enough to cut yet lol

Welcome back. I don't see why front squats wouldn't work just fine. Good luck.

Got a virus who stick for a good 2 week.

My result for 2 days ago:

    Front Squat: 125 Lbs / 5 5 5

    Press: 65 Lbs / 5 5 5

Dumbell Row: Simple exercise but I have spend my time figuring the right posture and form in this session.

I received my new Rogue shoes too. It was my first time with them. They are nice but for the squat its a little adaptation. I was squatting with some piece of wood under my feet before. The shoes even with a elevated heel seems to be just a little bit lower.

I have done the press in them too. Its really good for this while using a slightly staggered stance.
