    Legs and calves?

I know there are no absolute answer to this, but in general, should legs and calves be done on a day by themselves? If so, why? I'm having diffuculties to know on which day my shoulders should be trained, and thought I might try the leg day. Currently my split looks like this:

    Tuesday:
    Chest, shoulders, triceps
    Thursday:
    Legs, abs
    Saturday:
    Back, biceps, abs

I'm totally dead in my shoulders after i've done my seven sets with my chest. What do you think ?

    Check out my routine...

    Mon: Chest/Tri's
    Tu: Legs/Calves/Abs
    Wed: Off
    Thur: Back/Bi's/Forearms
    Fri: Shoulders/Abs
    Sat and sun: OFF

then those 3 days will become cardio days when I get to my cut

Tru, that sounds like a pretty good routine that you got there.

Tenant just give shoulders there own day, and do them at the end of your week so that they aren't fatigued when you train them.

    Just a suggestion...

Yeah, I've thought about giving the shoulders their own day, but you see, I started training 5 weeks ago, for the first three weeks with light weigts, and I've only done two weeks with really heavy weights. 4 days a week with weight training might be too much for me, so I'm a little afraid of starting with that just yet. I might just go for a little longer rest between the final chest set, and the first shoulder set and then after some weeks, maybe a month or so, go over to a 4-day split. Good workout routine tru, not too different from mine, and I think i'll go for that later on.

i think you should split it up more, like one bodypart per day, not 3
Don't just call me pessimist. Try and read between the lines. I can't imagine why you wouldn't Welcome any change, my friend. I wanna see it all come down. suck it down. flush it down.
